Hi the world =)
Snow has totally disappeared here ! Now it's rain , wind , cold but 'wet cold' ... =(
In fact I regret the slippery roads of last week !!
But anyway, my day has an air of Spring =)
A gift arrived this morning from Canada, from (I think one day I'll succeed in saying it... =D) Saskatchewan... from Kate =)
Thank you so much Kate for this over cute needle book that I really love !
I made several needle books for friends but I never did one just for me =D
Now I have one, it's perfect, very beautiful, I love the fabric and the V .... and that's so kind
Merci, merci, merci =D
You made my day and (I won't do it in the rain...) I'm doing a happy dance =)
Speaking about needle book then (Kate's gift arrived at the perfect time for this post =D), beginning of January I had an exchange on my French Facebook group, for the wishes of 2013
I chose this design of Joan Elliott, from Cross Stich Greeting Cards book.
I decided to stitch it in blue as my partner , Pascale , is a colour blue fan =)
Initially it was in red....and (especially for Nia...) Voilà ...
I made this needle book, with
blue and cream fabrics (one I already used for my 'Beatrix Potter box'
last year) that I sent to Pascale with some little goodies =D
My exchange was this cute hanging Pascale stitched me to say welcome , a needle case and a needle minder that I absolutely love (I hadn't any)
Hubby was really happy too with this gift as now, he hasn't to search anymore with me, in the sofa , while we are watching TV the needle I've lost , hehehe =D
You surely saw my WIP of Clair de Lune =)
Don't pay attention to the dots of my new table cloth that are appearing under the linen =)
I made a great progress I find
But I stitched 2 other little things in order to not being fed up with all these brown threads !
I want this stitching to be perfect, so I must not be fed up with it =D
Have a great day
xxxx

Your Clair de Lune is stitching up quite quickly and is beautiful. The gifts to and from Pascal are quite lovely.
RépondreSupprimerMany thanks Kate =)
SupprimerI should stitch something more Spring than Autumn...but I'm really in love with this design
It's really as if they were about to move
Stitching often rhymes with 'inside peace', and with this design it's so true...I'm enjoying it =)
I can hear the cicadas around them =D
Thank you again for you gift that I love and which is already filled in with needles =D
Big hugs sweetie

Grobiz
I'm jealous of your spring like weather. It has been -22C with the windchill here for the last week or more. Practically unbearable... expecting a little break with warmer temps tomorrow but then it's back into freezing temps all over again!
RépondreSupprimerLove the needlebooks both received and the one you made! The birdy's are just too cute.
Also this is how you pronounce Saskatchewan:
"Sauce - Cat - ew - wan"
Hope that helps :)
Melissa, your pronunciation of Saskatchewan is close. :D
SupprimerHere on the Canadian Prairies we pronounce it like this: Sass katch i (as in it) wan (as in lawn). I once met a fellow from Toronto who asked how it was spelled. :D
hoooo thank you Melissa =)
SupprimerIt works indeed, now I can pronounce it
Spring was only in the letter box with Kate's gift
We had a real Autumn day today with cold, rain and wind, lot's of wind =(
Many thanks for your kind comment
Hope your hand is a bit better
big hugs
xxxx
thank you girls =)
SupprimerIf only my phonetic lessons had been so easy at university .... =D
That's funny to try to pronounce this way
Now I can =)
Kate, the day I'll meet your son he will be proud of me hehehehe
big hugs to you both

A Nia blue Dutch pattern... lol

Thank you very much Petite Anne =)
SupprimerThe letters are in the book too, with Joan Elliott designs, I love them too and I think I'll use them for another project
you're right, that sounds really Dutch ! Hubby chose the 5 different blue for me and he did a very good choice =)
I stitched 2 little pieces besides Clair de Lune because it's too much brown =)
But really small pieces...
Will show them later hehehe =)
