Quelques moutons....

A bientôt :)

Hi the World
I hope everybody is fine. Here the flue is terrible and even if we are now better we take care anyway, as we are surrounded by ill persons !
I really try to stay tuned here and it seems to work :)
Better than last year ! I'm happy with that.
So today is sheep day. I hate it in my plate but I really love stitching sheep :D
The first are by LHN and it was a chart Mii offered me , Sheep in the Meadow

After sewing with ribbon and fabric that seem to be made especially for this piece, Hubby transformed it in a magnetic board for our office :)
For the moment it is still a bit empty but soon I will choose pictures and magnets to ornate it :)
Then , shame on me, I made 2 little pieces almost 2 years ago (!!!!) that I didn't show here
But better late than never !
The first is a Shepherd's Bush design , Friendship, that went to Canada by Kate

And the second is a chart I had been offered by Carol, a sampler by Lizzie Kate.
Such a simple design but so cute

You could also see 2 little frames above, those are by Jardin Privé, Histoires de Moutons
I want to stitch them all but for the moment only made 2. And I was so impatient to have them framed and hanged that I forgot to take pictures of the stitched pieces before :(
Always running .... !
My WIP on Summer at Cherry Hill is well progressing. The picture is bad as I took it with my phone but I wanted to share here anyway :)

Next time I will show you little wonders of charts offered by Maja for her SAL I joined.
Already 4 pieces done as April is very close now....
Until next time happy stitching and thank you again for your visits here and sweet comments

Hi there
Almost already one month  since I came here !
Needles have been busy but coming on the computer after a day at work is still a bit difficult for me...
I'm here today to show you  American designs, and this time no sewing but framing.
First is Around the world in 80 days by LHN.
I bought it long ago,  I felt in love with it at first sight :)

We found we had too many walls with nothing on them and decided to frame those beautiful stitchings.
We chose a few designs, those one are only the first 2 :)

The second is Hillside Travelers, also by LHN.
I'm definitely in love with those kind of designs, there are so many I'd like to stitch !
I hate taking frames into pictures , I'm always on the picture...
Hubby framed them. With frames we bought and that he didn't make. I'm a bad girl, I have to show here Claire de Lune I finished long ago and for which Hubby made a wonderful frame.
Soon...

I have been offered a Qsnap for Xmas.
What a fantastic tool ! Thank you again Super Half :)
Now my big pieces will be more beautiful !
I have a piece on it, a Brenda Gervais design, Summer at Cherry Hill. I'm slowly progressing on it, but I'm progressing anyway. A stitch is a stitch !
Hubby and I met flue about 10 days ago and it is still at home :(

So... next time we will speak about sheep  , it is a long time since we haven't been speaking about sheep here :D
Happy stitching ladies

Cats are far from being my favourite animals...
I don't hate them no, I'm afraid of them, they are tigers for me =D
Surely it's because I had great troubles with one when I was a little girl...anyway...I realised that I often show cats here and surely it's because made of fabric and threads I don't need to be scared of them =D
2 more cats to show today, but before I want to say a big huge thank you to June , for the parcel full of goodies I received yesterday, and for this lovely, pretty and so beautiful pillow she made for me =)
A Valentine smell came out of the parcel with all these hearts , red and pink things... I love everything, thank you so much
Aren't these stitched little girls very cute ? =)
Xmas after Xmas, birthday present before the date...I'm blessed once again, thank you June =)

Then you surely saw my 2 cats
The first comes from my book with Japanese designs. I told you I had an 'order' for this cat I hadn't time to stitch for Xmas, and I said to Marie that Easter Bunny would correct Santa's delay...but finally I finished it earlier than I forecast and I will offer her tomorrow.
Today she is at hospital , being operated on her wisdom tooth, so this present will be better than chocolate and I hope it will help to forget the pain =)
Her Mum told me she will looooove it hehehe
She wanted it to be framed, so here it is

The second cat is a sketch by Margaret Sherry called 'Caught Catnapping'
I know that a sketch has no colour but I decided to put some in the flowers, to suit with the fabric and to be more ... colourful =D
In fact, during our Summer exchange (yes...Summer exchange last year) on the MS lovers blog, Eleana didn't receive anything =(
Her partner said she has sent a 2nd parcel as the first was apparently lost...but January arrived, poor Eleana didn't tell about this anymore and the second parcel also disappeared... ! if you see what I mean...
Nia asked for pixies and of course, I answered with a big yes =D
I needed something to be stitched quickly, as El Salvador is far away and as it takes weeks (we can even say months now ) to reach Brazil...I was afraid my parcel arrives at Autumn ...
15 days !! it only took 15 days =D
A real good surprise for Eleana, as it is written on the ribbon I chose
The fabric was a gift from Rita for the very same Summer exchange,  I found it perfect for this pillow =)

Besides those cats, Clair de Lune...I can say that it is almost finished =)
Less than the second half of the moon to stitch and the backstitch to do...
I also finished another UFO ! (this one was 2 years old only)
Margaret Sherry again...but after cats...mice =D
Story of this design and pictures next time...

A bientôt

Hello the World =)
First, welcome to my new followers...that's so great to be able to write those words too hehehehe =D
Some times ago I told you about my last stitches of 2012, that I offered to a very good friend here for her Xmas and birthday beginning of January
My book Le Japon au Point de Croix had a great success in her family =)
She wanted 4 special designs, her younger daughter 4 others and her older daughter (Marie for who I made the Beatrix Potter box last year...) another one a little bigger !
Lot's of stitches but at the same time it's so great that friends and relatives are eager to have some of my creations =D

First, I started the French part, by showing a tiny figurine...
My cousin was the lucky winner of the lucky charm in the King's cake, and when she discovered it, she put it in an envelope that she sent me =D
Isn't she so tiny and perfect ?
I put it besides a thimble to show you...
Thank you very much Julia (and the picture doesn't show the hundreds of confetti she put in the envelope to wish my vacuum a happy new year =D)

Then, you saw the 4 designs my friend chose mid September, and that she wanted in frames of different sizes for her bedroom.
Super half chose the frames and the green cardboard and made the framing and the mounts
My friend found them perfect and really enjoyed her gifts =D
Then , Odile chose 4 other designs and the day she came home, she saw the pouch I made for Rita and asked me the very same =D

Those pictures are not really good :(
We can't really see that I chose a light pink Aïda, but it was !
I was really amazed myself by the lotus ! No backstitch and so very like to the real flower !
This book definitely contains many treasures
And there's no price for the stars I saw in this little girl's eyes when she discovered her pouch  =)

I still haven't found the time to stitch the bigger white cat, but I'll soon...
I had a slow beginning in January because of my eyes that I had to rest for about a week =(
The Doctor found I abused of lenses and I had a little problem ...
But now I'll stitch again as I have new glasses and that my eyes rested enough...
Maybe I'll show you my progress on Clair de Lune or another little piece I made before being prevented from needles, TV, internet....hehehehe, I still don't know
It's very snowy and cold here, I'll stay warm
Until next time....

Mic Mac

Mic Mac

I have almost forgotten those little Leprechauns that I finished just before July  :D
I bought them some years ago in Brittany and never found time to stitch them...!
I missed them because of the Xmas rush and the aprons and before that, the rush of our house being built  :D
Here they are,  Mic Mac by Nimue
I have to find where to hang them , and to decide if I decorate the frames or not...
I like them, they are funny :D
