Gorjuss girls

I found my family in a book

A très vite j'espère ...
L'année ne fait que commencer

Hi the World
I finally decided to dust my blog !
Ho my ! Such a long time since I came here to show you stitches.....
Last time I came wasn't for funny reasons...today it is :)
I stitched my first Gorjuss girls !!

Maybe you remember my first blanket for Anna ? 3 years ago already....
Anna became a big sister in October :)
So Auntie Valma took her needles back and she started another big project for Théa :)
Mum of course chose Gorjuss, in fact she chose 7 and I had the responsability to chose 1....

In fact I chose 2 :)
One as a birth gift and the second as a Xmas one.
Once again I have been touched by the happiness of my cousin and her hubby when they discovered my gifts
We must admit we sleep well under a blanket Auntie made , don't you find ? :)

I now hope that this cute baby made out of love, will, as her sister, treasure my gifts for long.
3 years now and my first blanket has become a Frozen princess cloak, a carpet for playing with dolls and so on  :)
I'm so happy.

I also hope I'll be able to come back soon here.
Besides those 2 big projects (big because I don't have much time to stitch...but in fact Gorjuss girls are not that long to stitch !) I made many small pieces I'd like to share here

So...see you soon :)
Love from my side of the world

A bientôt

Once upon a time, there were four little Rabbits, and their names were Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton Tail and Peter.
They lived with their Mother in a sand-bank, underneath the root of a very big fir-tree.

'Now my dears' said old Mrs Rabbit one morning, 'you may go into the fields or down the lane, but don't go into Mr McGregor's garden. Your father had an accident there, he was put in a pie by Mrs McGregor. Now run along and don't get into mischief, I'm going out'

(...) Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton Tail, who were good little bunnies, went down the lane to gather blackberries. But Peter, who was very naughty, ran straight away to Mr McGregor's garden and squeezed under the gate !
First he ate some lettuces and some French beans, and then ate some radishes. And then, feeling rather sick, he went to look for some parsley.

But round the end of a cucumber frame, whom should he meet but Mr McGregor !
Mr McGregor  was on his hands and knees planting out young cabbages, but he jumped up and ran after Peter, waving a rake and calling out 'STOP THIEF' !

Peter (...) rushed all over the garden, for he had forgotten the way back to the gate.
He lost one of his shoes among the cabbages and the other shoe amongst the potatoes.

(...) unfortunately he ran into a gooseberry net, and got caught by the large buttons on his jacket.
It was a blue jacket with brass buttons,
quite new !

(...) leaving his jacket behind him (...) he rushed into a tool-shed and jumped into a can.  It would have been a beautiful thing to hide in, if it had not had so much water in it !
Mr McGregor was quite sure Peter was somewhere in  the tool-shed.
(...) Presently Peter sneezed 'Kertyschoo' ! Mr McGregor was after him on no time.

Peter jumped out of a window, that was too small for Mr MacGregor and he was too tired of running after Peter, he went back to his work.
Peter sat down to rest. Also he was very damp with sitting in that can. (...)
An old mouse was running, carrying peas and beans to her family in the wood. Peter asked her the way to the gate.  But she had such a large pea in her mouth that she could not answer, she only shook her head at him. Peter began to cry.

Then he tried to find his way straight across the garden. (...) He started running as fast as he could go, along a straight walk behind some black-currant bushes. (...) He slipped underneath the gate and was safe at last in the wood, outside the garden !
Mr McGregor hung up the little jacket and the shoes for a scarecrow to frighten the blackbirds.

Peter never stopped running till he got home to the big fir-tree.
He was so tired that he flopped down on the nice soft sand on the floor of the rabbit hole and shut his eyes. His mother was busy cooking, she wondered what he had done with his clothes !
It was the second little jacket and pair of shoes that Peter had lost in a fortnight !

I'm sorry to say that Peter was not very well during the evening.
His mother put him to bed, and made some camomile tea, and she gave a dose of it to Peter.
'one table spoonful to be taken at bed-time'

But Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton Tail had bread and milk and blackberries for supper.

Hi there
Here is the story of the Princess and the blanket =D
As I told you some times ago , I was stitching something for my cousin who gave birth to Anna last May 27th.
Yesterday Anna and I have been introduced and now that she has discovered her present I can show you...
As my cousin is a 'bunnies lover', I chose Story time, a Somebunny design
I added a mouse (yes, a kind of signature =D) which comes from another scene of Somebunny, and also added the Princess' name....
As the design was a bit larger than what I usually stitch, it was obvious to make something a little bit bigger than usual =D
That's why I decided to make the BIGGEST project ever made by our team here : a blanket =D
Indeed, our team...I have to thank Hubby for his help in sewing and his encouragements  ♥
Fabric and fabric fleece (is that the right word for the sweet fabric I put at the back ? )
a blanket which measures 1,10m x 75 cm
I found it a lovely piece that everybody enjoyed and found in their own terms 'superb, magnificent' =D
I was blessed by Anna's Mum & Dad comments and reactions ♥
And can't you see on the last picture Anna seeming to say 'hey, don't touch, this is MY cover' =D
She is so cute, lovely baby made of love ♥
I hope she will treasure my present for long, no in fact I'm sure she will =D

Sun came back here this weekend, we will enjoy summer at least till Thursday !
But even if yesterday had been an awful day with rain and wind , I would have had my sunny Sunday anyway...
I had a great moment with the whole family and this was one of those moments you wouldn't exchange against anything in the world .....
Happy stitching
xxxxx
