A bientôt
xxxx
We have a little piece of Sun shining in the sky today ! It changes a lot from the last few days that have been awful ! Wind and rain that didn't stop for 5 days !
Anyway , I received this morning sun and friendship from Portugal that really brightened my day =D
Isn't this badge with a kokeshi and a butterfly soooooo cute ?? =)
Made for me, hehehehe
I love it ! Thank you so much Nia for this very kind gift. You're a real sweetheart.
I don't have any stitches to show you today
Not that I haven't been stitching, but everything is secret, Xmas is coming...
I know it's early but it's the price to pay when you do things by yourselves =D
But if you want, I have pictures of another castle we visited to show you ....
I really hope nobody is fed up with those pictures =)
We only visited 4 castles ...
Maybe next time I should show pictures of our stay in Normandy to change a bit...
So today it's : Chaumont
Don't you find it's coming from a Fairy tale ??
It seems to be Sleeping Beauty's castle !
The 'real' Sleeping Beauty's castle is supposed to be in Ussé , but it was too far and we didn't visit it.
The garden at Chaumont are amazing ! But we only saw a little part of them because an extra fee was needed :(
This is really the most furnished castle we saw
I have hundreds of pictures but I had to select only some =)
Here above, the ancestor of the stong box =)
We were very lucky with the weather ! And as we were mid September, all the places we visited were not overcrowded !
This castle belonged to Catherine of Medicis and I'm not sure but I read somewhere that Benjamin Franklin spent time in one castle, and I think it's this one...
I have to show you Chenonceau, it the most beautiful one we visited (in my opinion, Hubby preferred Chambord =D)
Till next time, take care my sweet friends and happy crafting
xxxx

Chaumont is so lovely, Valerie! And you are so lucky to be able to take photos inside the castle. Here in the U.S. we aren't allowed to take photos inside historic buildings...
RépondreSupprimerLovely gift from Nia--she is such a sweetie!!

Supprimerindeed, in each castle it was allowed to take pictures, often the flash was forbidden
but we have a great album anyway :)
