Encore un projet que je gardais bien au chaud que je vous révèle aujourd'hui
I love birdies , Sarah Kay
Samedi nous étions invités et j'ai trouvé plus original d'offrir un cadeau fait main que des chocolats, des fleurs ou une bouteille (quoiqu'il y avait une bouteille aussi =D)
Ma copine adoooooore Sarah Kay autant de moi les dessins de Beatrix Potter et je pense avoir fait plaisir et ça c'est une bonne récompense de travail =D
J'ai fait une housse de coussin avec un tissu que je trouvais parfaitement adapté au dessin
Une broderie confettis mais avec un joli rendu
Des créations se révèlent mais il en reste toujours quelques unes de secrètes =D
Alors patience
Tout est préparé pour la SAL mystère , y'a plus qu'à !

It's time to reveal another secret =D
I offered it on Saturday evening, we were invited by my best university friend, and I found it would be great to change a bit, and arrive with something else than flowers, chocolates or a bottle of old wine =D
She loves Sarah Kay very much, so I decided to stitch her I love birdies
I had the fabric in my drawer and I found it perfectly matching with the design
I made a pillow case
It was a 'confetti' stitching , stitches are not very regular, and overall the fabric shrank a little !
But finally the result is great, at least I find it's great =D
She was very happy and had stars in her eyes
That was a wonderful award =D
This is another secret goal revealed but there are still some in my basket, hehehehe =D
Be patient....
I prepared everything for my mystery SAL, I'll start tomorrow

It is a long time since I saw anything to do with Sarah Kay, the designs were everywhere on everything at one time,here in the UK. It is lovely to see your beautiful gift for your friend, Valerie. No wonder she was so happy :):)I had forgotten how pretty the designs are.

when I was a young girl, I got a lot of Sarah Kay items: schoolbag, excercise-books, diary and t-shirts, I really love Sarah kay!! But I've never stitched anything of her, so looking this beautiful finish, I put one of it on my stitching wish list!

and I made the pillow case alone, Hubby was out the whole week for his job so I'm very proud !! =D

I loved Sarah Kay when I was a young 'un! And her appeal has not changed over the years! I think your pillow is gorgeous and your friend is very lucky to have a friend like you to stitch & make such a gorgeous gift. Just love it! The fabric you used for the pillow is perfect too ;0). Well done!!
