Travelling pattern

A bientôt

It left Canada & Evalina beginning of the year, made a little stay in South Africa by Cucki...and finally decided to go to France =D
I received the travelling pattern (and a very sweet gift) , Life is a Stitch by Lizzie Kate, last week after almost 4 weeks in the postal bags !!
I was so happy to be part of this 'Stitcherhood'
Many thanks again Cucki for having chosen me =)
I didn't use the recommended threads and chose to make it looking more like a 'candy', and stitched it on a cream coloured aïda
For the 'frame' I used the variegated thread I won in Mii's Valentine giveaway, but only made half stitches because the thread was a bit too thick...
I'm not very satisfied also with the border, that was not very easy to make on aïda, but the result is not so bad =D

First I wanted to make a cushion with this piece, but last weekend, my road crossed the one of this little tray and finally I found it would be more useful this way...
I will use it to gather my threads , scissors and so on ... for my next pieces and maybe there will be less mess in the sofa from now on  =)

So travelling pattern...it's time for you to visit another part of the world =D
I'll chose on Wednesday who will be the next stitcher on the list
Of course you need to have a blog to be part of the fun, you need to post regularly and be a reliable stitcher...
I know you are =)
But we really don't want the pattern to vanish into thin air and the chain to be broken...
Sure you understand these guidelines
Being the next stitcher involves you stitch the design 'quickly' and promise to pass it along after you stitched it to allow the discovery of a new place in the world =)
Very simple isn't it ?
So please comment here under if you want to be part of the Stitcherhood =)
I wish you a great weekend

  1. What chance this design fits perfectly in your little tray! You've done a lovely job. The vari thread looks cute even if with half a stitch. You must have been pulling your hair out stitching the border on Aida!!! Still, well done sweetie, it's a lovely little finish :) Please don't count me in for this one as I already had the chance to stitch it on an other travelling pattern. Have a lovely weekend xx
