A bientôt....
Books....and Bookmarks
Summer is really here !! And brought with him very high temperatures (we had 40° on Saturday afternoon !)
I'm in slow motion, just like my needles, but slow motion doesn't mean no motion at all =D
First , I wanted to show you my new books...
They both are really superb, but I must admit I'm in love with 'Japon au point de croix'
It's full of great designs and I hope to make some very soon =)
I belong to IPSOS Access Panels. I answer surveys from time to time, I get points and when reaching a certain amount of points I have vouchers of 10€ I can use in shops or on some internet websites, including Amazon, and it allows me to have a bigger bookshelf without spending too much money =D
If any of you (leaving in Europe) wants to be part of those people answering surveys, just tell me, I can sponsor you and we both will have some points as a welcome present =D
It's about 1 or 2 survey per week, or less, or more it depends, taking about 10 or 20 minutes...
Then...bookmarks !
I have been offered 2 =D
The Kokeshi is from Super Hubby and the second one from Marie young sister at her return from holidays =)
Marie is the girl for who I made the Beatrix Potter box. By the way she was really very happy !!! I think I never had such a thank you ! (in real =D )
She always hides her emotions but the other day she really was over the moon !!! =D
Thank you for these 2 great bookmarks...
And the other 2, you guessed it, I made them =D
One of my grand mother (I posted a picture of her last year, everybody said I look like her =D) will be 90 tomorrow !!
But we are going to celebrate this event on Sunday with the whole family
As she is a real bookworm (she even subscribed to the library !) I decided to make her a book mark and chose a design from Margaret Sherry.
As I was doing this one, I decided to make one for my Godmother who is also a bookworm =)
She will be 44 beginning of September (I have a young Godmother indeed =D) and loves frogs ...
Those 3 frogs are from an old issue of Cross Stich Card Shop.
For the back I used a piece of the fabric Rita sent me for the Summer exchange, it's perfectly matching =D
It's all for today =D
But I promise, I come back soon
Thank you for your visit here
xxxxx

I'm curious to see the new creations.
My trip is lost :( postponed for the future
My mom's recovery is still long and my dad is not self-sufficient.

ohh i loved this post! :D Starting with those 2 books..they sound great! Designs from japan must be awsome!
RépondreSupprimerThen the 2 bookmarks you recevied...they are so cute!! The on Hubby gave you is my favourite:D
And the bookmarks you did...they are so lovely!! The one for your grand mother is just too sweet!! My grand father will turn 89 this November...hopefully..because he's very ill :(
I'm sure you and your family will have a great sunday all together! I have to go search for that photo of your grand mother!:)
And the last bookmark is too cute! And you made with the things i've sent you...i love it!! :)
Now, please, can you teach me how you do it? You sew the fabric on the background?? And you don't put anything bettween? I'm sorry for the questions, but i'm always wanting to learn:)
kisses & hugs
Thank you Rita =)
SupprimerI knew you would like the bookmark hubby offered me, hehehehe =)
We had a great Sunday together, and both my Grandma and my Godmother were very pleased with the bookmarks...
I sew the fabric on the background yes, with a white thread so it's a bit invisible
I sew 3 sides, and before sewing the last one I inserted a piece of thin cardboard, then sew the last side
It's very easy to do, I don't know why I never did some before =)
Don't be sorry for your questions =)
On the contrary, we are here to share =D
Big hugs
xxxxx
