A bientôt

Hi there
I'm back from my Sunday which was not like any other Sunday =)
What a day full of everything ! Full of walking, full of people, full of...rain !
But anyway full of emotions =)
That was a dream for a French girl like me
We finally found a not too bad place ! Just behind Parliament, with a big screen near us to make us waiting and show us in details what was happening on the water and elsewhere.
I absolutely don't regret to be able to say 'I was there' =)
It's the very cold and rainy weather that I only regret !
I met wonderful people too
We made pictures, which finally are not too bad (thanks Hubby) and I have many many pictures I have to sort, but here are just some =)
As a sample, the place we were, the crowd, the wonderful grey sky, some boats, the Royal boat, the Queen, the Prince.... even the PrinceS , Camilla, and my happy face =)
A bit tired today, and no Xstitch this weekend but it was worth the sacrifice =)

See you soon for my next adventures
And god saves the Queen =)
Hugs
xxxx

  2. Must have been great! All those people and the boats and the excitement. Happy to hear everyone seems to have enjoyednitnso much. I think it is funny that french in general can be so excited about a king, or queen, while they have a president themselves ( altough some of them really act like kings:-))

      the atmosphere...I can't describe the atmosphere !!
indeed it's funny from a French people to participate to such an event =)
the fact is that I made English studies for 7 years at university, and England and British history and English are my 'life' =)
      I contaminated hubby =)
      We often go to England
This event was the consecration of my studies =)
      big hugs

and you're right... some presidents act like kings =)
the last we had was a champion in his category =)

  3. Lovely photos Valerie,so glad you enjoyed the Pageant, it must have been fantastic to be there. The weather, well it is England and a Bank Holiday weekend as well!!! I was sad that the fly past was cancelled ,so disappointing for those who have been practising non stop and for the crowds including you and your hubby who actually went to London.
I must admit I feel very fortunate to have been born five years after the Queen came to the Throne and to have seen her tireless good representation of our country and the Commonwealth for most of my life:)

the atmosphere was just wonderful !
even if I'm not English I was with everybody shouting, waving my flag =)
      super !
leaving here in the North of France I'm used to bad weather =)
it doesn't prevent me to go out and to do things =)
I'm fascinated by Elisabeth II , I used to learn all her life and all the English history when I was at university (I made studies of English literature and civilisation , had to read Shakespeare in old English, my God =D) and it was for the real event to be !
Victoria, Elisabeth...who told women are not able to deal with politics =)
We met a couple (waiting 4 hours in the rain creates links), so kind, we already exchanged mails and the will send me the newspaper =)
and they also said that next time we come to London we must tell them to have lunch together =)
      big big hugs
