A bientôt

Once upon a time, there were four little Rabbits, and their names were Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton Tail and Peter.
They lived with their Mother in a sand-bank, underneath the root of a very big fir-tree.

'Now my dears' said old Mrs Rabbit one morning, 'you may go into the fields or down the lane, but don't go into Mr McGregor's garden. Your father had an accident there, he was put in a pie by Mrs McGregor. Now run along and don't get into mischief, I'm going out'

(...) Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton Tail, who were good little bunnies, went down the lane to gather blackberries. But Peter, who was very naughty, ran straight away to Mr McGregor's garden and squeezed under the gate !
First he ate some lettuces and some French beans, and then ate some radishes. And then, feeling rather sick, he went to look for some parsley.

But round the end of a cucumber frame, whom should he meet but Mr McGregor !
Mr McGregor  was on his hands and knees planting out young cabbages, but he jumped up and ran after Peter, waving a rake and calling out 'STOP THIEF' !

Peter (...) rushed all over the garden, for he had forgotten the way back to the gate.
He lost one of his shoes among the cabbages and the other shoe amongst the potatoes.

(...) unfortunately he ran into a gooseberry net, and got caught by the large buttons on his jacket.
It was a blue jacket with brass buttons,
quite new !

(...) leaving his jacket behind him (...) he rushed into a tool-shed and jumped into a can.  It would have been a beautiful thing to hide in, if it had not had so much water in it !
Mr McGregor was quite sure Peter was somewhere in  the tool-shed.
(...) Presently Peter sneezed 'Kertyschoo' ! Mr McGregor was after him on no time.

Peter jumped out of a window, that was too small for Mr MacGregor and he was too tired of running after Peter, he went back to his work.
Peter sat down to rest. Also he was very damp with sitting in that can. (...)
An old mouse was running, carrying peas and beans to her family in the wood. Peter asked her the way to the gate.  But she had such a large pea in her mouth that she could not answer, she only shook her head at him. Peter began to cry.

Then he tried to find his way straight across the garden. (...) He started running as fast as he could go, along a straight walk behind some black-currant bushes. (...) He slipped underneath the gate and was safe at last in the wood, outside the garden !
Mr McGregor hung up the little jacket and the shoes for a scarecrow to frighten the blackbirds.

Peter never stopped running till he got home to the big fir-tree.
He was so tired that he flopped down on the nice soft sand on the floor of the rabbit hole and shut his eyes. His mother was busy cooking, she wondered what he had done with his clothes !
It was the second little jacket and pair of shoes that Peter had lost in a fortnight !

I'm sorry to say that Peter was not very well during the evening.
His mother put him to bed, and made some camomile tea, and she gave a dose of it to Peter.
'one table spoonful to be taken at bed-time'

But Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton Tail had bread and milk and blackberries for supper.

A bientôt

As I promised....today we will go on with butterflies  :D
Such beautiful butterflies !!!
Beware, this post is full of pictures :D
Because of the French first part, there's less surprise of course, but I absolutely have to share everything with you :D
You saw the beautiful card & buttons that I received for a French friend, Maïté, who found the perfect buttons, doesn't she ?
Lovely wooden buttons with butterflies that I will soon use !

Then I have been spoilt by Lesley !!
She knows I'm an absolute fan of Scotland and she found the perfect needle minder for me !!! Scottish thistles and purple !!!
Isn't it a little wonder :D
It is so difficult to find needle minders here , even more such beautiful one !

It came along, wrapped in a cute 'sewing' paper, with a beautiful piece Lesley made , to help with needles when the project is a small one :D
Isn't it beautiful ??
Thank you so much Lesley for that precious gift, which, more than being beautiful is also very useful , and accompanies me everyday :D

Then, the day just before the Dday, another big and heavy parcel arrived.
It was already a torture to have all these parcels I wasn't allowed to open...and that parcel became torture number 1 :D
Rita OVER SPOILT me with a folder, that she made from A to Z out of scrapbooking and cardboard creation !!!!
Isn't it an AMAZING thing ???!!!!

I'm still wondering if there are words strong enough to thank her !!!!
WOW !
I was so amazed by the Gorjuss one she made for Nia...and I had one in hands !! :D
You should have seen my face !!
All those butterflies, those beautiful and perfect pages, the choice of the papers (there's even a sonnet by Shakespeare in French somewhere ! I loooove Shakespeare ! )

All the time you spent creating this for me Rita....I'm really blessed !
It's impossible...I don't deserve everything I received !!
You all have been toooooo kind with me :)

One million of thank you again Rita
I'll treasure this book for years !! It's a real treasure.

Super Half has been very busy taking pictures for me those last days :D
Thank you for the beautiful one you made ....
Crazy, crazy, crazy March I had !!! And terrific birthday !
Because it is not finished, hehehe, owls, bunnies, butterflies...but I have some more goodies & gifts to show you :D

But it will be for another post...
I hope you stayed with until the end :D
I'm going to continue my day as a butterfly.....
I'll be back soon

Aujourd’hui lapins donc.

A bientôt alors

I wanted to update sooner, continuing to show you my beautiful gifts...but I've been stuck since Wednesday with a cold or flu, fever and the sensation to have a cauliflower in place of my brain....
But it's never too late !
Look above the beautiful hearts garland made & offered by Cucki and that made my day :D
Thank you so much again sweet Cucki for that lovely gift that is already hanged in my craft room :)

So last time it was question of owls, today it is bunnies ...
I stitched those 2 bunnies from Christiane Dalhbeck and offered them to my cousin (Anna's mum is a great fan of bunnies...) for Christmas !
Yes, Easter is almost here and I'm still showing Christmas gifts...but those 3 pieces are the last one I have to show :)

I also stitched cats for her mum and sister, and Super Half finished them as small trays :)
The pictures have been made during winter and are a bit bad...
But the 3 gifts have been very appreciated :D

The other bunny, the cutest...came from Carol :)
Isn't he superb ?
All that purple and the tiny beads, such tiny stitches...I love him :D
His nose seems to be about to move :)
Thank you so much again Carol. My over cute fellow is now displayed on the seasonal shelf !
So perfect :D

Believe me, it's already very beautiful in pictures but in real....wow !
My furry fellow came along with a mini kit from Lizzie Kate with small sheep, the one with black heads that I so love :D
A very cute design to which I couldn't resist long, as it is now finished ! Only the beads and the charm, an apple, to add ...and of course the finish...but sheep will be for later...!
Next time I have to show you butterflies :D

I was one of the lucky winners of Marie Christine giveaway ! (Did I tell you March has been
terrific ?? :D )
Huge pieces of fabrics arrived this weekend, thank you very much once again Marie Christine.
So until the butterflies arrive on the forefront...happy stitching
I'll be back soon

Mille mercis encore Angel :)

xxx

It's a good, perfect and sunny day to start & show you the gifts I received for my birthday :D
On the picture above, the lovely cards & Hama beads butterfly and Jedi that Annette's kids made for Hubby and I :)
Isn't it lovely ?
Such a kind attention from our Dutch nephews :D
Thank you so much again Kira and Noah.

Then, it seems to be 'an owl post' :D
Indeed, first parcel that arrived was from Angel (still no blog hehehe .... ) !
Hubby can confirm, I resisted to the temptation of opening it only on the very day of my birthday...a torture for more than one week :D
And believe me, it went worse and worse ...

Superb stitched notebook , handmade card... and a bag full of treasures like that beautiful ribbon with owls too and a tiny mouse charm :D
Mice, purple, owls, butterflies.. so lovely :D
Thank you so much again Angel for those beautiful gifts that I absolutely love.

3 weeks ago I had big troubles with my car :(
The only negative point of March it seems... !
Mum kindly lend me her car while mine was being repaired, I kept it more than 2 weeks...
So to thank her, as she loves owls so much too, I made her a small ornament for the rear view mirror  of her car :)
In shades of green of course as it is her favourite colour...

Owls are always so cute....
Next time, we will continue with bunnies and sheep :D
Owls, bunnies, sheep...you will see until the butterflies theme how I've been spoil rotten !
Coming soon

It is Spring, yes :)
Or at least until yesterday it was and really was.
Today we're having rain and wind  :(
But anyway it is Spring and who says Spring says Spring pieces and seasonal shelf :D
First I want to show you a piece I made very end of last year and who reached sweet Lesley in January...

A freebie found here, that I finished as a small ornament.
It even arrived on the very day I wanted it to arrive, which was really perfect =D

So my Spring pieces...
Once again I couldn't resist to Maja's designs !!! Who can ?
They are all so cute. I think I'll surely stitch them all as I'm already on the last design she created for Easter !

Bunny with tulips and chick with tulips, both finished as small pillows for the seasonal shelf that I started to decorate for Spring yesterday.

The Easter tree and the Easter decorations will surely come out of their cardboard boxes this weekend...
One month before is not too early :)

I want to decorate my dinning room table for Spring as I do for each season, but for the moment it's a total mess with a project I'm on (but that is going to be finished very soon...) and can't be used for anything else than craft !!
Of course as soon as it is finished I'll show you :)

Until next time I wish you all a great weekend & happy Spring
Thank you for stopping by and see you very soon here

Travelling Pattern

A bientôt
xxxx

Hello dear friends
It's a long time now since I've been writing here :-/
Spring was really with us until yesterday and I must admit I've been outside most of the time :)
I stitched ... but pieces that has to stay secret for the moment as I finished my Easter Eggchange organised by Mii but as it has not left yet... it obviously hasn't arrived either...so it's still a secret =)
And of course my birth gift for baby Lourenço who joined us last week !
The big, mega big secret =D
Have you seen just above the old bobbins Super Half offered me on Valentine's day ?

So no creation to show you today, but something that arrived in the letter box this weekend from sweet Rhona : a travelling pattern =D
And look at all those wonderful goodies Rhona added ! I've been spoiled once again...
A piece of spring fabric, needles and a real rainbow of Madeira threads !!

Thank you so much again Rhona :)
I absolutely love everything you sent me.
I still don't know which of the 2 I'm going to stitch (indeed, there are 2 different charts ! Both are lovely ) but I'll stitch it and after it will be your turn :D
Leave me 2 weeks, I'll make a draw on March the 31st.
So if you want to be the next stitcher of this sweet design, say it in your comment here before that date.
Same rules as usual for a travelling pattern:
- You must be a follower here
- You must have an active blog
- You are sure to stitch the design within 2 weeks once you have received it
- You will offer it on your blog to other stitchers  and send the pattern so that it can continue its travel

Very easy isn't it ? =)
It's so much fun !
I wish I was a travelling pattern =)

So who will live, laugh ans love on March the 31st ? =)
Till next time happy stitching

I've been RAKed ...

xxx

I made a small explanation in the French part of what a RAK is, but I'm quite sure that in this part of my post, the title explains everything...that I'm a very happy lucky girl and that North of France is still echoing the endless WOW I shouted yesterday =D
I've been RAKed by Lynn at Happiness is Cross Stitching.
Ho yes you can say it too , wow =)
Lynn always creates wonderful things that I each time admire on her blog...and I'm the (very very very) lucky recipient of one of her first RAK this year....
I first didn't dare to open the beautiful package Lynn made... I had to take a picture of it !
But I must confess, I didn't hesitate long =)
And what a surprise in the parcel, 3 over beautiful pieces with which I immediately felt in love =)

A necklace with a tiny (believe me, it's tiny !) stitched tea-pot, a crocheted pincushion and an ornament with an incredibly small embroidery on it !
So you agree now ? WOW =)
The handmade card is also filled with kind words that touched my heart  ♥
And of course everything in the colours that I love ...

Once again Lynn (yes I already sent a crazy mail yesterday =D) , thousands of thank you for all those gifts that I absolutely love and will treasure.
You made my day and I'm very very very happy.
I raise my glass to our friendship wishing it lasts forever, you know what I mean ;)

I'll continue my day with stars in my eyes and as the sun is here today too it's going to be another beautiful day.
I'll be back soon with stitches
