Echange d'Halloween

Halloween, avec les amies du groupe des fans de Margaret Sherry ...ça rime avec échange =D
Maintenant que mon colis est arrivé ...(arrivé presque au paradis même, chez Ysa, aux Caraïbes) je peux vous montrer.
J'ai choisi le chat d'Halloween de l'agenda 2012 que j'ai brodé sur de la toile orange, forcément =)

Avec sa petite souris dans la citrouille...trop mignon =)
J'ai utilisé le même tissu que pour la sorcière du post précédent, et hop un petit sac pour aller taper aux portes et demander des bonbons =)

Déjà que Margaret Sherry n'a pas beaucoup de dessins pour Halloween, trouver les cadeaux qui allaient avec a été un véritable casse tête car Halloween n'est pas vraiment très répandu par ici, ou alors trop tard pour l'envoi de mon colis.
Mais j'ai réussi à me débrouiller et à faire quelque chose qu'Ysa a beaucoup aimé, en plus c'était son premier échange avec nous =)
En retour, c'est Heather qui m'a gâtée !

J'ai moi aussi mon sac pour aller dmeander des bonbons =D
sauf que celui là était rempli de décos d'Halloween, de chocolats en forme de citrouilles, de toile, kit, aiguilles, fils et perles à broder !
Waouh !
Et puis biensur une pendouille d'Halloween brodée.
Mille mercis encore à Heather pour ce très bel échange.
A très vite pour des projets réalisés avant l'automne...

Halloween & Margaret Sherry lovers group rhymes with...exchange =D
And what an exchange again !
Now that my parcel has arrived (it even arrived in a kind of paradise on earth, by Ysa, on a Caribbean island :D)  I can show you.
I chose the October cat from the 2012 diary, that I stitched on an orange fabric (received in the stocking I won from Nia ...) 
Using the same fabric as for the little pillow with the witch in the previous post, I made a bag to go & make door to door asking for candies :)
Or whatever else...of course, it's up to Ysa now

 
I love this little mouse in the pumpkin 
Margaret Sherry didn't make many Halloween designs, and it was even more difficult to find goodies to join to the parcel as the feast is not really celebrated where I live, and that in the shops (can you believe this...) they are already preparing Christmas markets !!!
But I succeeded in doing something that put a big smile on Ysa's face and that is the best reward  =)

My exchange directly came from UK and Heather spoilt me !!!
As you could see I also received my bag to go & ask for candies =D
But this one was full of lovely things !  Halloween garlands , threads, beads, needles, a kit , a piece of fabric, chocolate in pumpkins wrappings (they are delicious =D) and a lovely stitched piece

C'est l'automne...

.... et pour le coup , pas que sur le calendrier...parce que depuis quelques jours, ça pique un peu tout de même =)
Automne à l'extérieur alors automne à l'intérieur aussi.
Je l'avais dit, après l'arbre de pâques et avant celui de noël, on a aménagé un petit coin automne dans la maison.
Le voici le voilà =)

Je suis fan =)
Que du naturel. Bon OK, mis à part biensur le gros champignon et le petit en bas à gauche que Super Moitié a réalisé et dont les différentes étapes sont ici =)

Pour accompagner cette déco il fallait bien quelques croix =)
J'ai brodé 2 grilles de Maja, de Snowflowers Diaries.

Ses dessins et ses grilles sont à chaque fois 'à craquer' !
J'en ai brodé une troisième mais elle ne rentre pas dans la déco d'automne alors ce sera pour une prochaine fois =)
En attendant donc que les petits coussins de noël prennent leur place pour quelques semaines, ce sont ces deux là qui sont à l'honneur =)
Pour l'année prochaine il faudra que je me trouve d'autres dessins d'automne à broder parce que c'est bien connu, 2 coussins ce n'est pas suffisant !

Autumn is here , and now...it's not only on the calendar ! 
Warm afternoons and shy sun gave place to wind, rain, cold, and rain , rain and rain !!!
We had an awful weekend , orange alert for wind, rain & flood !
Fortunately no damage here, only fever & microbes for the first cold of the year =)
So autumn outside... and autumn inside.
With hubby we wanted to make a kind of autumn tree between the Easter & Christmas one.
And here is what we prepared =D
Everything is natural, except of course the big mushroom and the small one on the left . 
Super Hubby did it  and if you want to see the different steps of its painting don't hesitate to go on his blog here =D

And to match with this autumnal decoration...stitches were needed =D
I chose 2 charts from The Snowflowers Diairies.
OK, I know, I'm addicted to tartans =D

Maja always creates lovely designs and each time I say I have to stitch it...this time I did =)
I also stitched her Lavender Girl , but it's not autumn, I'll show you later.
I'm sure you will see more Maja's designs here for Spring & Easter =)

Those 2 little pillows are now on the shelf in our entry hall... in a few weeks they will be replaced by the Winter one.
For next Autumn I need to find other designs because I really think 2 pillows are not enough =D

Le dernier voyage

Condoléances est un mot dont la racine latine signifie 'souffrir avec'...
Mais présenter ses Sincères Condoléances ne suffit pas pour autant à exprimer le chagrin, la tristesse ou juste l'empathie que nous ressentons.
Trouver les bons mots... mais que dire ?

La blogosphère s'est effondrée ce matin à l'annonce de la tragique nouvelle du décès de
notre amie Cathey.
Son combat est terminé  mais notre peine est immense !

Nous avons chacun des souvenirs différents avec Cathey mais celui qui reste le plus marquant aux yeux de tous c'est cette leçon de vie qu'elle nous aura donné .

Alors aujourd'hui nous 'souffrons avec' sa famille et surtout son petit Junior que le sort prive d'une maman extraordinaire.

Repose en paix ma douce amie, la vie ne dure qu'un instant mais notre amour pour toi est éternel.
Nous ne t'oublierons jamais

Condolences is a word coming from a Latin one and which means 'to suffer with'.
But to offer our sincerest condolences is not enough sometimes to express the sorrow, the sadness or just the empathy that we are feeling.
To find the right words...but what to say ?

Blogosphere felt apart with the announcement of the tragic death of our friend Cathey.
Her fight is now finished but our grief is infinite.

Each of us has different memories with Cathey, but the most memorable one is this spectacular lesson of life she all gave us.
 
So today we are 'suffering with' her family & friends , and especially her little Junior who has been deprived of an exceptional Mum by fate

Rest in peace my sweet friend , life only lasts one moment but our love for you is eternal.
We will never forget you

En attendant Noël....

Je suis la dernière à poster la troisième partie de notre SAL avec Nia et Annette....
La date limite était le 30 septembre et même si j'avais fait la broderie depuis un moment et pris des photos je n'ai pas encore eu l'occasion de la montrer ici...
Mais la voici =D

Je ne suis pas super satisfaite des flocons de neige et des fils que l'on voit derrière le lin....
Soit je referai, soit à la couture ça ne se verra plus, ou moins...j'aviserai sur le moment =)
Plus qu'une partie avant Noël et il faudra envisager de terminer le tout .... mais j'ai déjà l'idée....

Puisqu'on parle Noël, j'ai fait un troisième coussin pour la déco de saison. Les premiers sont ici, le suivant c'est Snow in Love toujours de Little House Needleworks

Comme il semble que l'automne se soit finalement vraiment installé maintenant ... prochain poste sur l'automne et le coin aménagé pour la saison dans la maison =)

Shame on me, I'm the last to show here my third part of our SAL with Nia & Annette....
The deadline was September the 30th...I finished the piece before this date and even took it into picture but didn't find the time to show it...
Now it's done =)
I'm not very satisfied with the white threads behind the linen ! 
I really don't like when we can see the back this way, I'll try to find a solution later !
One part left then and I'll have to think about finishing the 4 =D
You know I have my idea....
As we're speaking about Christmas here, this is my new pillow to decorate our home

Snow in love by LHN again.
I really enjoy stitching those Christmas designs, even if I must admit that this pillow is not the most beautiful I made ! It's for me so it doesn't really matter =)

Until beginning of this week we really had warm days, with afternoons even reaching 23° or more !
We even had a great walk in the woods on Sunday to take pictures of the autumn leaves ...but almost found no tree with autumnal colours !
But since yesterday it seems that Autumn  decided to finally settle ... so next time we will speak about Autumn =D
My favourite season

Pumpkins for Cathey...

... ou en français 'Des citrouilles pour Cathey'....

Dans notre grande famille de la blogosphere , il y a  Cathey, au Canada, qui depuis plus d'un an se bat corps et âme contre la maladie.
L'emblème, la marque de fabrique de Cathey c'est la citrouille, et aujourd’hui c'est son anniversaire de blog =)
Pour lui montrer que nous sommes tous avec elle pour la soutenir dans ce combat qui ne lui laisse aucun répit et nous l'espérons lui donner le sourire...sur une merveille idée de Daffycat ...nous allons tous poster une citrouille aujourd'hui  =)
Si vous faites un tour sur la blogosphere il y a de fortes chances pour que vous y voyiez des citrouilles partout. (en passant par le blog de Daffycat tous y seront répertoriés...)
Notre famille est grande et des citrouilles il va en y avoir...mais voici la mienne

La fête d'Halloween et les citrouilles ne sont pas trop ancrées dans nos traditions finalement, mais je me devais de faire ma toute première pour l'occasion =)
Et quel finish !

Super moitié (qui participe aussi à la chaine des citrouilles) a encore frappé et m'a fait ce petit 'panier' magnifique en forme de citrouille ....
Hein qu'il est magnifique ce panier =)
La broderie a été collée sur l'avant, la photo est un peu plus bas. 
Je saurai bien quoi y mettre le moment venu...des bonbons ? oui surement =)
Nous allons préparer une espèce d'arbre d'automne, après l'arbre de Pâques et avant celui de noël... alors il semble que cette création va trouver sa place avec d'autres petites pièces que j'ai faites.

Today is a special day ... the Pumpkin day =)
Indeed , it is Cathey (best known in the blogosphere as Pumpkin) blogversary  and I made my very first stitched pumpkin for the occasion.

Happy blogversary sweetie =)

Based upon a wonderful idea by Daffycat (please go & see on her blog, you'll maybe understand better...) we are going to create a virtual chain of pumpkins all around the world , to arrive in Canada , directly at Pumpkin's door !

Knock knock... here is my Pumpkin for you  :)

It's a freebie I found here , and  Super Half (who is also part of the chain of Pumpkins) has struck again and made me this wonderful basket in felt

Halloween is not really celebrated where I live, but pumpkins rhyme with Autumn, my favourite season and this basket will find its place in our home ! After the Easter tree and before the Christmas one... we are going to prepare a kind of Autumn tree =)
Of course I'll show you later the small autumnal pieces I made and the one hubby did.
Exciting =)

So this basket can seem to be empty ! It will obviously be full of candies very soon, but for the moment it is not empty ! 
Really ! 
Look closer and you'll see it is full of positive thoughts, friendship, strength and love for our sweet friend in Canada. 
Believe me it is very heavy

Me to You

A la dernière Saint Valentin, j'ai remporté la giveaway de Mii et parmi les nombreux cadeaux reçus ce jour là, il y avait le kit Pretty in Pink, avec le fameux ours Tatty Teddy.
Mon premier Tatty Teddy que j'ai décidé de faire pour l'arrivée dans la famille de la petite Laly il y a quelques jours...

J'espère que ce petit nounours ne m'en voudra pas trop d’avoir passé son nez dans une couleur rapprochant de la chambre et des accessoires de Laly à la place du bleu initial =)
Quel boulot cet ours !
Mais une fierté tout de même... mes tous premiers points de nœud réussis pour les yeux ! 
Du tissu et hop hop hop un pochon pour y ranger ses petites affaires de filles =)

La suite au prochain épisode avec surement des pièces d'automne....automne qui au final a, semble t-il, décidé de ne pas s'installer tout de suite.....
Tant mieux =)

Last Saint Valentine day, I won Mii's giveaway, and among the beautiful gifts she sent me there was the kit Pretty in Pink from Me to You.
I was keeping it for a special occasion that happened 2 weeks ago as my cousin in law gave birth to a little Laly :)
As a birth gift I stitched Tatty Teddy which was really perfect for Laly as her bedroom & accessories are in the shades of grey, purple and burgundy
That's why I changed the colour of Tatty's nose... I hope he won't be angry =)

What a job on this bear that I had to urgently finish because Laly came 2 weeks early....
But I'm proud because, I don't know if we can well see them on the pictures but... I succeeded in doing well my first French Knots !!!!!!!  =D
Happy me !
I made a little bag with this piece, for the bib, the cuddly toy, the dummy or whatever 
If Laly is like her brother she will love my bag her Mum said me, because he is always carrying a small bag with little toys wherever he goes =)

 
 Next time surely Autumn pieces... even if it seems that finally Autumn decided to wait a while before settling ! 
We are enjoying very warm afternoons and that's great

Envie de fraises...

L'automne commence 'doucement' à s'installer par ici, mais l'été aura vraiment été beau !
Cet été justement,  Mii avait organisé un échange , et pour la première fois, j'ai envoyé un petit paquet en Grèce,  à Ariadne =D
Ariadne adore tout ce qui a rapport avec la mer , le bord de mer, les coquillages et surtout les verres de mers (d'ailleurs maman...si au détour d’une ballade sur la plage tu en trouves...tu me les ramasses...) 
Mais j'ai décidé de partir sur tout à fait autre chose... et j'ai eu...une envie de fraises =D
Strawberry House de LHN

J'ai tapé juste puisque ma comparse Grecque est aussi une fan des fraises et a adoré mon choix
Tant mieux =)
Je n'ai pas trouvé de tissu avec des fraises qui me plaisait vraiment alors j'ai opté pour un tissu rouge à pois et une doublure unie.
Un petit sac à emporter partout =)

Avec ça, j'ai été plus que gâtée par Bernadett de Serbie   !!
J'avais gagné sa giveaway quelques semaines auparavant et elle en a profité pour m'envoyer tout en même temps.
Le carnet recouvert et le petit cœur sont vraiment très très beaux.
Mais l'échange d'été c'est (tout) ça ....

De l'écharpe crochetée , en passant par cette magnifique trousse et le  papillon !

Giveaway de Bernadett

Autumn is arriving here....but the least we can say is that we had a wonderful summer !
Summer also rhymed with great exchange for me , thanks to Mii who organised one =)
For the first time, I had to send a little something to Greece, to Ariadne.
Ariadne is a great fan of everything that is related to sea, seaside, sea glasses, shells.... (it reminds me a sentence I used to learn at school to well speak English ...) 
But I really wanted to do something very different for her and chose...strawberries =D
Fortunately she told me she loves strawberries and really enjoyed my parcel =D
Lucky me 
I stitched Strawberry House by LHN and decided to make a little bag with it.
As I didn't find any suitable fabric with strawberries on it (I found some...but they were..awful !) I chose a polka dot red fabric =)

 
Strawberry House chart now joined Kaye in Australia, sure she will do something beautiful with it.

And I must say...I have been OVER SPOILED by Bernadett in return !!
Ho my ! sweetie I already thanked you but once again I want you to know how you made my day and how I'm in love with everything you sent me. 
Everything is so well done and delicate...

 
 Sure, Bernadett knew my favourite colour was purple =D

Summer Iris

Parmi tous les petits cadeaux que j'avais reçus en gagnant la giveaway de Bruna il y a quelques semaines...il y avait le diagramme Summer Iris par Blackbird designs.
Bruna en avait proposé plusieurs différents que le gagnant devait choisir et moi j'avais craqué pour celui là =)

J'avais promis de la faire assez vite, pour pouvoir partager cette grille avec quelqu’un d'autre dans les meilleurs délais et c'est chose faite =)
J'ai récidivé sur du lin (je suis accro oui =D) , avec les couleurs préconisées et voilà le résultat

Tout simple mais tout beau ... même si le bleu n'est pas ma couleur....j'aime beaucoup.
Je vous avais dit, le prochain finish serait un coussin ... qui a d'ailleurs parfaitement trouvé sa place dans notre hall d'entrée  =D
Summer Iris va bientôt quitter la France donc, mais on ne sait pas encore vers quelle destination ...
Je ferai un tirage au sort le 9 septembre, jour de l'anniversaire de mon petit Papa =D

Among all the gifts I received from Bruna some weeks ago, lucky winner of her giveaway I was... there was a chart from Blackbird Designs , Summer Iris.
Blue is not my colour, but I totally felt in love with this design when Bruna showed it on her blog. I first thought I would change the colours but no =)
I used the recommended threads and stitched it on linen. (yes, I'm addicted...)
I find the result very beautiful & sweet, and this is my first Blackbird =D
You saw I finished it as a pillow , which found its (perfect) place in hour entry hall 
Perfect matching fabric again that I had in my stash.
Believe me, I don't have loads of fabrics, hehehe =D

I'm in love with this little piece !
I really spoil myself this year...
But I can't keep such a beautiful chart for me alone. As I promised when I received it, I would like to share it with one of you.
So if you want to stitch Summer Iris too, just let me know in your comment below and I'll make a draw on September the 9th...it's Dad's birthday =D

Fleurs de coton

Jardin Privé a une grille gratuite sur son site, intitulée Fleurs de coton....
Ceux qui connaissent Cucki auront surement pensé comme moi, cette grille était faite pour elle =)
Et comme c'était son anniversaire le week end dernier, j'ai décidé de me lancer dans cette grille...

J'ai respecté les couleurs préconisées mais en les prenant en lin pour changer....
Le résultat est plus doux qu'avec du coton,  mais les fils ne sont pas si agréables à travailler !
De la trousse que j'avais faite pour Mii il me restait du tissu qui suivait parfaitement avec le motif...

Une petite breloque chat, très Cucki elle aussi, et hop hop hop une nouvelle petite trousse
Ça faisait longtemps =D
La prochaine fois...on repasse au coussin...

Jardin Privé has a free chart entitled Fleurs de coton (Cotton flowers) that you can find here.
Those who know Cucki maybe had the same reaction as I had...this chart was made for her =D
Don't you find ?
That's why this is the one I chose for her birthday last weekend 
I used the recommended colours, but instead of cotton I used the linen threads. 
The result is sweet, even if the linen is a bit less pleasant to use... I find it easily frays, so don't make too long lengths if you use linen =)
But really linen makes beautiful stitches and I enjoyed the stitching anyway. 

I added a charm also 'very Cucki'... her sweet Maloo of course =)
I made her a pouch, using the fabric I already used before for Mii, for the back and inside.
This fabric was really perfect for this design !! Sue Bonnet everywhere =)
I can't remember where I found it !
Another zipped pouch yes, but next post will surely show a pillow
