Vous vous souvenez de Cheena qui cachait une carte que j'avais faite ce week end  =D
Elle est arrivée à destination aujourd'hui alors je peux maintenant vous la dévoiler...
C'est une partie de Love you Mum de Margaret Sherry, mais je n'ai pas fait maman hérisson =)
Juste une carte de remerciement pour Lesley et le superbe livre qu'elle m'avait envoyé...

The heart I used was part of the beads received in the stocking =D

Second biscornu :)

J'ai les aiguilles qui fument =D
Voici mon 2nd biscornu avec un motif Celte....
Je pensais qu'il serait plus petit mais il est bien aussi =D
Je vais essayer de trouver une grille pour un tout petit biscornu, après tout jamais 2 sans 3....
Un petit goût d'Ecosse...nostalgie....

Here is my second biscornu, with a Celtic design...

I thought it would be smaller but it's great anyway

I'd like to find a chart to make a very small biscornu, as we say never thrice without twice =D

I put it in a quaich for the picture, a little thing to taste whisky that we brought back from Scotland of course =D

You all know now that we love Scotland in this house :)

For the little history , the Nessie on the second picture comes from another trip to Scotland we made...we went to Loch Ness and there was a shop where a guy was doing things in glass and he made this one before my eyes and offered me it as a fan of French people he was =D

Petit week end au point de croix....

Je devrais faire des photos du WIP de Winnie, il avance bien !
Mais en attendant le weekend a été varié !
J'ai fait un second coussin avec l'Union Jack Snail pour ma Léa  ♥
Le ruban est différent , c'est un de ceux que j'ai acheté en Angleterre,  et puis son expression est différente aussi....
J'ai également commencé un second biscornu avec des motifs celtes cette fois ci :)
Il devrait être plus petit que le 1er....
J'ai aussi fait une carte que je ne peux dévoiler tout de suite, tant qu'elle n'a pas atteint sa destination...
D'ailleurs Cheena (comme sa tante d'Afrique du Sud l'a surnommée) la cache bien comme il faut =D

Hi girls...

I should post pictures of my Winnie's WIP, it's well progressing ! 

But meanwhile, here is what I did this week end !

I made another cushion with the union Jack Snail for my cousin Léa who kindly ask me to do her one after having seen mine =D

I took another ribbon, one of those I bought at the creative crafts show. Its 'face' is different from the 1st one

I also started another biscornu with a Celtic design :)

It will be smaller than the 1st but I think it will be nice

And I also made a card, but till it hasn't reach its destination I can't show you, besides, Cheena (as her aunt from South Africa nicknamed her =D) is well hiding it.....

Et puis au courrier est arrivé de la part de Lesley un superbe livre avec des Teddy bears de Joan Elliott
Ce livre est absolument magnifique, j'y ai déjà  repéré des oursons à faire =D
Merci encore à Lesley qui m'a gentiment envoyé ce livre quand elle a lu que je cherchais des oursons type Teddy bear pour le bébé de ma cousine....
Merci merci merci pour ce très gentil et très beau cadeau....

Creative Craft Show

Hi girls,

Here I'm to tell you more about the craft show....

First, we forgot the camera :(

So I only made pictures with my phone, but it was not really a problem because everywhere there were signs 'please, no pictures' !!

It was in a luxurious hotel , surrounded by a park and a golf course ! 

Very beautiful and we had a good walk...

Lot's of people ! About 50 exhibitors, and I was a little bit disappointed because there were only 5 exhibitors  for Xstitch :(

Lot's of beads, knitting, accessories, decopatch, card making...

Anyway, we spent a good time :)

There were workshops of beading, silk painting, decopatch, card making...very interesting !

I bought a bag ! ( I love bags, and pens... =D)

A knitted bag, that a woman was making for a charity cause....

I've been allowed to take a picture of her, because I wanted to show you her science fiction knitting needles =D

Never saw such needles before !

I found magazines that I don't find in France, no need to order them :)

And I found ribbons, a little magnifying lamp, butterflies stickers and charms

I really don't find charms here :(

I'm happy because I found butterflies charms, I can now really personalise my creations :)

I bought this fabric origami needle book !

I saw some already made and it's really beautiful ! I'll try to make one !

I'll have pictures to show you :)

And most of all, you know now my love for mice, hedgehogs and squirrels (it's because we used to have an adorable degu...) and I couldn't resist to this lovely squirrel, who is now going to be my blog's mascot =D

Any idea for a name ?? =D

I spent a nice weekend

Nothing very interesting you may say (except knowing to what I look like now =D)...but it's because Arras is the French town where I went to university ! 

Ipswich is twined with Arras, and the plaque stands in memory of one professor I had =D

just to say that it brought back good memories.... =D

Je l'ai terminé cet après midi, c'est tout ce que j'aurai fait du week-end =D

I finished it this afternoon !

With butterflies of course, I used a piece of fabric from the stocking, a piece of a ribbon which was wrapping a perfume box I have been offered a day  =D

I'm happy with the result....

C'est la St Valentin ...

...Ou on est juste le 14 février , au choix =D
Tout de même, Cupidon est passé et a apporté un très joli vase et des frésias qui sentent très bon, et qui mettent une touche de printemps dans cette journée grise !
Cupidon Bordelais a apporté le vase et les fleurs, Cupidon d'Afrique du Sud a envoyé une très chouette carte faite main, avec un magnifique poème à l'intérieur ...qu’égoïstement je garde pour moi =D

Anyway, Cupid came and left a gorgeous  vase with smelling freesias (one of my favourite flower !) 

A touch of Spring it this rainy day ! 

'Hubby Cupid' brought flowers ....'Cucki Cupid' brought sun from South Africa =D

I received this morning a lovely handmade card, with an absolutely superb poem, that I selfishly keep for myself =D

I still have progress to make with the sizes and sewing but really, I'm satisfied with the result for my first Cushion =D

I used one the charm which was in the Xmas stocking  =D

I'm happy !

I was afraid that my secret parcel was lost somewhere in the cold and snow, but no =D

From the design to my stitching ....

I decided to make a needlebook, in felt

I added a ribbon and heart buttons, everything in the same colours as Little Nia :)

I chose DMC threads (I stayed one hour in the shop, when the woman said 'please, switch off the light when leaving I realised it was time to go, hehehehe) and I'm satisfied with the result =D

I had a personal coach (love you Cucki ♥) who encouraged me , because I must admit it's the first time I create something !!!

I was very anxious ! To what was it going to look like !!!

Except from the card for the Xmas exchange I never made anything in felt or other =D

I made a wish....it came true ....

My little Nia brought  smile , love, friendship and happiness in Portugal today....♥

Beginning of the week I made Noni smiled in Australia, today it's Nia...I'm blessed =D

Even if it's very cold outside, inside our homes and hearts it's warm , and that's precious ♥

I'm very happy that Nia enjoyed my gift !

As she said on her blog, it has not been long since we 'met', but Nia and some other girls are now part of my life and I treasure this friendship so much ♥

I'm like that :)

Il fait -15° dehors, c'est la Sibérie, et je progresse doucement sur le cœur de papillon et Winnie....

J'ai presque fini une des 15 pages du diagramme pour le cœur de papillons, il y des milliers de points !
J'ai l'impression qu'on ne voit pas bien le dessin encore, mais je progresse !

I've almost finished the 1 of the 15 pages of the chart !! thousands of stitches !

It seems to me that we don't really see the butterflies, but maybe it's because I see it everyday !

J'ai fait celui en bas à gauche, et puis j'ai commencé Maitre hibou
J'ai aussi fait le point arrière de quelques personnages histoire d'avancer un peu :)

Regarding Winnie, I only made the one in the bottom left, started the owl, and backstitched 2 other characters !

C'est parti pour une nouvelle semaine...

Je n'ai pas sorti une aiguille ou un fil du weekend !
Il y avait un qualificatif aux Championnats de France au tir à l'arc, et le weekend a été assez chargé et fatiguant...
Donc pas de broderie !
Mais un très bon weekend quand même, malgré la neige et les conditions de circulations difficiles !

A new week is beginning

February already !!

I didn't stitch anything this week end, I had an Archery week end =D

A post with nothing to tell about stitching then , but to learn a little bit more about me, I'm playing archery (I have been playing for more than 15 years now !) and my club (I'm the secretary =D) was organising a championship !

We started on Saturday afternoon, and ended yesterday around 8 PM

2 'heavy' days but wonderful days =D

Il a encore neigé , mais pas autant qu'on s'y attendait !
Il fait bien froid mais c'est l'hiver après tout =D
Cette semaine je continue Winnie, au chaud ....
A bientôt pour de nouvelles aventures !

Here is a picture of our garden yesterday morning before I went to my archery club !

It snowed but not as much as we were expecting !

Our garden is not furnished yet as our house was only finished in April last year :-/

There were rabbits' footprints all around the house, funny :)

I finish with this picture....

it's a slag...

I leave in the North of France where there used to be many many coal mines (my Grand father was a minor...)

And everything which was extracting from the mines and was not coal, was put aside, in heaps.

We have lot's of these heaps around here, some are even protected by UNESCO 

They usually are black ! but here with the snow it's as if we are in the mountains =D

it's part of my history and I wanted to share =D

Je suis certaine de faire rire au moins une des personnes qui passera par ici, mais j'adoooore les dessins de Beatrix Potter  =D

A stocking ....which may have belonged to Mary Poppins or Hermione Granger because it seems to be bottomless =D
Have a look to everything inside, all wrapped with care !
Ribbons, fabrics, buttons, a snowball (which after coming from Portugal and a short stay in France will go to Australia :D), needles in a superb little case, a little apron (it's the 3rd I'll stitch  =D) , sweets and even a wonderful very special little cards game :D
And so many other things....

Un nouveau projet pour 2012 !

L'année commence fort :D
Je suis l'heureuse gagnante du jeu de Noël sur le blog de Nia ♥
J'ai hâte de recevoir la boite de poudre de perlimpinpin :D

Le soleil est revenu après cette tempête épouvantable que nous avons encore subi hier et avant hier :(

L'année 2011 s'est avérée pleine de projets au point de croix finalement et je compte bien garder le rythme !
En plus de l’abécédaire Winnie l'ourson et du Somebunny pour BB Julia/Jean déjà prévus , voici le 3ème projet

Un cœur, des papillons (forcement) et j’espère un très beau rendu , pour une amie qui elle aussi a des problèmes de papillon :D
Nous nous voyons à Pâques alors j'ai jusque Pâques pour la terminer, mais j'espère pouvoir lui envoyer avant !

2012 starts well :D

Sun came back after this awful tempest we had for the last two days :(
I finally had numerous goals in 2011 and I really want to have the same rhythm in 2012.
Added to the ABC Winnie the pooh and a Somebunny (maybe more than one :D) I already planned, here is my 3rd goal !
A heart made of butterflies (of course !) 
I hope it will be nice because there is no backstitch, only different colours to make the butterflies appear....just like a watercolour !
It's for a friend I'll meet at Easter , so I have till Easter to finish it (260 stitches / 300 stitches :D  lot's of stitches !)
But I hope I'll be able to send her before....
For sure I'll show you the WIP

La découverte des tabliers :D

J'ai oublié de montrer la découverte des tabliers....

Maintenant je dois retourner à mon abécedaire Winnie l'ourson pour une amie qui attend une petite fille...
Et après ce sera le tour des petits lapins pour ma Juju :D

I forgot to show you the discovery of the aprons ....
Everybody was happy, I think, no I'm sure in fact :D
First they thought it was not hand made ! That I bought them like that and just add the names !!
My smoking needles have been offended :D
I pulled if off :D
And it has been such a delight to stitch them !

Now I have to finish an 'ABC' Winnie the Pooh I started for a friend who is pregnant :D
And after that I'll have to find cute rabbits for my cousin who announced some days before Xmas that she was pregnant too :D
She looooves rabbits, what do you think of Somebunny ?? I think Somebunny is cute !
