L'effet papillon

Ce matin le facteur a laissé dans la boite une petite enveloppe en provenance directe d'Australie =D

Pour me remercier des boules à neige et du cadeau d'échange de printemps que je lui avais fait (en remplacement de celui qui n'est jamais arrivé)  Noni...m'a envoyé cette très jolie carte qu'elle a brodée et faite entièrement elle même, ainsi qu'un carillon papillon =D

Très joli, très gentil, une journée qui commence bien =)

Comme je ne peux toujours pas vous montrer quoique ce soit de ce que je brode... (bientôt, bientôt...mon échange d'été est sur la route et je devrais bientôt pouvoir dévoiler ce que j'avais fait pour Olli, et puis Somebunny, et puis autre chose encore =D) je peux juste vous dire que je me suis inscrite pour ma première SAL mystère =D

Je ne sais pas ce que sera le motif final, je recevrais tous les mois pendant 12 mois une partie du diagramme à broder, mais à voir les dessins que fait Laura et que j'aime beaucoup , je ne devrais pas être déçue =D

Hello, 

My day began under the butterfly sign =D

This morning, Mister postman came, and what he left me really really made my day =D

I received something from Australia =D

Noni wanted to say me thank you in the way stitching and crafty girls know...(that is to say the best way =D) and she made me a really wonderful card, and sent me a wind chime with a lovely butterfly at the top  =D

Woooohooo 

Cute , cute , cute ...I love

Today we have a bit of sun, and all the windows are opened and I hear the sweet zen sound of the wind chime hanged in the hall, that's really great =D

As I still can't show you anything of what I'm doing or did (soon , soon, Olli received my parcel for the summer exchange and I'll soon show you what I made for her, and also my Somebunny and another little thing I started too... =D) I can just tell you I signed up for my first mystery SAL =D

I have no idea of the design (hehehe I know, it wouldn't be a mystery SAL ) but I really love what Laura does so I think I'll enjoy this SAL !

Un anniversaire, un merci ... 2 cartes

Je ne peux toujours pas vous montrer la progression de mon Somebunny.... =)
Pourtant avec ce magnifique temps dont nous bénéficions encore j'en profite pour bien progresser !!

Mais j'ai quand même 2 petits quelque choses à poster aujourd'hui =)

Tout d'abord un anniversaire...une carte...
En changeant un peu les couleurs du cerf volant (elles étaient normalement aux couleurs du drapeau anglais, mais pour une petite fille de 11 ans je trouvais que ça ne le faisait pas) , j'ai fait la petite souris de Margaret Sherry , le kit offert avec le n°163 de Cross Stitch Crazy.

Et puis souvenez vous, le jubilé à Londres il y a 15 jours =)
Pendant que nous patientions sous la pluie et dans le froid nous nous sommes fait des amis d'un jour, des londoniens, qui n'ont pas pu prendre une seule photo de la parade....
Nous avions échangé nos cartes de visite et leur avons envoyé toutes nos photos...et ils nous ont eux tout gentiment envoyé 2 journaux avec des photos incroyables parus le lendemain,  ainsi que le CD du concert de Paul Mc Cartney du lundi soir à Buckingham !
N'est ce pas super gentil ??!!

Je me suis empressée de leur faire une carte de remerciement 
J'ai trouvé dans le n°185 de TWOCS une petite Reine toute mimi qui fait parfaitement l'affaire pour ce merci  =)
Je remarque juste à la photo un trait de pliure de la toile mal repassée :-/
(Audrey...si tu passes par ici, ça va te rappeler quelque chose =D)

Au final...une belle journée non ? =)

A birthday, a thank you... 2 cards =)

Indeed ! I can't show my WIP of Somebunny, but I can tell you that with the wonderful weather we have I'm well progressing !! (We have a wonderful grey June sky, never seen before !!!)

But anyway, I can show you the 2 cards I made.

The first is for a friend's daughter, she will be 11 this week and I stitched her the flying kite mouse from Margaret Sherry

I just changed a bit the colours of the kite, I know her enough to say that the Union Jack colours wouldn't have pleased her =)

The second one is a thank you card

Remember , London, The Jubilee....We made 'friends of a day' while patiently waiting 4 hours in the cold and rain !

They are from London, and as they didn't take pictures of the pageant , we exchanged our addresses at the end and we sent them our pictures =)

They were very happy

Today, I received something they said they would send me. And they sent us 2 newspapers issued the day of the pageant and the day after ,  as well as a CD of Paul Mc Cartney concert at Buckingham on the Monday following the pageant !

Isn't it so kind ??!!!

I immediately decided to stitch them a thank you card, and I found in my TWOCS #183 a cute Queen that would be perfect for that card =)

And I find her perfect =)

So even if sun is not here...isn't it a good day anyway ? =)

Un porte clefs et un joli cadeau

Je suis bien heureuse de voir l’essor que prend doucement mon blog et je suis toujours aussi contente de vous faire partager mes aventures autant en point de croix qu'en balades  =)
Merci à toi cher lecteur de passer quelques minutes par ici...
Avec ce weekend Londonien pas trop eu le temps de faire des petites croix  =(
Juste un petit porte clefs hippopotame pour mon homme (nous avons un gentil délire tous les 2 avec un hippopotame) que je trouve assez réussi, même si c'était un peu galère de le fermer !

Et il y a un petit mois, sur le groupe de Facebook, une des croixpinettes a eu un bébé, et nous avons décidé en secret de lui confectionner un petit quelque chose =)
12 d'entre nous ont brodé un petit personnage Winnie, moi j'ai choisi Tigrou et une de nous a récupéré les 12 broderies, a 'joué' les couturières pour en faire une très jolie couverture =)

La maman a été très heureuse de ce cadeau fait main et avec cœur.
Encore un projet secret de révélé =)
Je suis maintenant sur une toute petite carte d'anniversaire, et j'ai une commande ! =)

33 friends here today ! wooo ! I'm happy, my blog is growing slowly but I love that , and I'm always very happy to share with you my stitching adventures and my 'travels'  =)

Thank you for coming around here and take the time to read my posts. It always makes me happy =)

With the Jubilee and our going to London, I got a bit tired and had lot's of things to do at  home so I didn't stitch much =(

But hubby wanted a little something (just like Mum some weeks ago I think he was a bit jealous =) and poor guy, he is always helping me so much...I had to stitch him something) 

He asked for a key chain !

And as we have together a 'private joke' with a hippopotamus ... I made him a hippopotamus key chain =)

It was a bit difficult to close it but finally it's a cute little thing =) 

And hubby loves it, that's the most important thing !

Then...I can reveal a secret project again =)

One of our friends from the Facebook group had a baby one month ago

12 of us decided some weeks before to stitch a little something related to Winnie the Pooh (that she loves very much)  , I chose Tiger ... and one of the girls gathered all the stitchings and made a blanket for the baby =)

Bravo Audrey for the sewing =)

Our friend received the blanket yesterday and was very very happy with this handmade gift in which we all put lot's of love.

I'm now preparing a little birthday card for next week...and I have an order

I have to stitch The Taylor of Gloucester by Beatrix Potter =) 

This is a cute design indeed that I'll have pleasure to stitch

I have the chart, it's of a poor quality but I'll do my best.

Un dimanche pas comme les autres

Me voici revenue de mon dimanche pas comme les autres à Londres !
Sacrée journée pleine de marche, de monde, de pluie !!  Mais tout de même pleine d'émotions =)
Le rêve pour une française comme moi =)
Finalement pas trop mal placés malgré la foule en délire, proches du parlement avec un écran géant juste derrière nous pour nous faire passer le temps et aussi voir plus en détail ce qui se passait sur l'eau et ailleurs...
Non, je ne regrette pas de pouvoir dire 'j'y étais' =)
Avec ça quelques photos souvenirs, pas trop mauvaises en fait :)
Les bateaux, le bateau royal, la Reine, le Prince..les princes même !
J'en ai beaucoup que je ne peux pas toutes mettre ici alors voici juste un petit échantillon =)
Un très bon souvenir même si aujourd'hui c'est un peu dur dur
Pas de croix ce weekend du fait !  mais ça valait bien le sacrifice =)

I'm back from my Sunday which was not like any other Sunday =)

What a day full of everything ! Full of walking, full of people, full of...rain !

But anyway full of emotions =)

That was a dream for a French girl like me

We finally found a not too bad place ! Just behind Parliament, with a big screen near us to make us waiting and show us in details what was happening on the water and elsewhere.

I absolutely don't regret to be able to say 'I was there' =)

It's the very cold and rainy weather that I only regret !

I met wonderful people too

We made pictures, which finally are not too bad (thanks Hubby) and I have many many pictures I have to sort, but here are just some =)

As a sample, the place we were, the crowd, the wonderful grey sky, some boats, the Royal boat, the Queen, the Prince.... even the PrinceS , Camilla, and my happy face =)

A bit tired today, and no Xstitch this weekend but it was worth the sacrifice =)

Summer cat

Finalement me revoici quand même aujourd'hui pour vous montrer ma réalisation du jour =D
J'ai terminé mon chat d'été du SAL3 du blog des fans de Margaret Sherry
Je suis en avance , c'était pour le 21 juin !
Je pensais juste ne pas avoir le temps de le monter cet après midi

Le chat de printemps avait fini sur un petit sachet de pot pourri..que faire du chat d'été ??
De la feutrine, du ruban, un bouton....

J'y ai réfléchi longtemps avant de penser que j'avais de très grosses lunettes de soleil (les lunettes de mouche ) que je ne savais pas où ranger (c'est surement à cause du fait que je n'ai pas l'occasion de les sortir souvent =D)
Hop hop hop , et si on en faisait un étui à lunettes ?? =D
Et voilà le résultat....
Bon la couture sur une telle épaisseur un peu hard, mais je suis contente tout de même =D
Reviens soleil, reviens...

Finally I come back here today to show you my last creation

I thought I wouldn't have time to finish it...but I had...so here is the Summer cat for the SAL#3 on the MS lovers blog =D

Deadline was for the 21st of June I'm not late =D

As I already made my Spring cat on a little scented bag,  I wanted to change a bit !

I remembered my sun glasses, big sun glasses (like fly eyes =D)  that I almost forgot just because I can't use them very often !!

They are always just like that in the drawer, with no case !

That's it ! 

A sun glasses case would be perfect for a Summer cat =D

So here is my sun glasses case , made 90% in Guimaraes Portugal =D

Indeed, except the felt I bought and the stitching I made, I used : 

- for the stitching the apricot coloured fabric which was in the stocking Santa Nia sent me

- the fabric, ribbon and butterfly button Nia offered me for my birthday 

 Isn't that great ? =D

Thanks again Nia for all those lovely gifts that were very useful today ♥♥♥

Non pas de petites croix mais juste envie de vous faire partager ma joie de vous dire que dimanche je serai sur les bords de la Tamise pour le jubilé de diamant de la Reine d'Angleterre =D

Je croyais pas cela possible et pourtant oui, ça y est, le tunnel est réservé et j'espère qu'on pourra apercevoir un des mille bateaux qui seront sur la Tamise ce jour là =D

Colis secret arrivé et mauvaise nouvelle

Bonjour tout le monde

Je vous parlais il y a quelque temps de mon colis secret parti pour le Canada, et je sais aujourd'hui qu'il est arrivé.
Je vais pouvoir vous montrer ce que j'avais fait pour Pumpkin , même si je dois l'avouer je n'ai aucune joie à écrire ces quelques mots , ni aucune 'fierté' à vous montrer une réalisation supplémentaire

Mon amie Canadienne qui a accouché il y a environ deux mois vient d'être diagnostiquée d'un cancer des os =(
C'est une horrible nouvelle apprise ce matin, et elle m'a perturbée
Je suis comme en colère , après moi déjà d'avoir demandé tous les jours à voix haute toute seule où pouvait bien être passé mon colis et pourquoi mon amie ne donnait aucune nouvelle, et en colère contre la vie qui est décidément trop cruelle et injuste !
Junior n'a que 2 mois et voilà sa maman devant se battre pour vivre face à cette s.... de cancer =(
Même si le soleil est revenu le moral est un peu parti pour aujourd'hui =(
Je souhaite plein de courage à Pumpkin et lui envoie plein d'ondes positives pour pouvoir lui mettre une raclée à ce crabe

Remember the other day I was speaking about a last secret parcel ...

I knew today it well arrived , it well arrived in Canada and this parcel was for our friend Pumpkin

The fact is that I have no joy to share these words and pictures today with you =(

Pumpkin updated her blog and she did it with such a bad piece of news that I'm now angry against life and I think I'll have this feeling for a while !

Cruel life, unfair life !! 

I just want to send her positive waves, that's the only thing I can do

To say her that I'll think about her, that I'll make prayers for her and that I 'just' want her to be strong and to fight this crab as stronger as possible even if the road ahead will be long and hard

I end here , leaving you with the pictures of the card I made for Junior, a design from Joan Elliott found in the book Lesley kindly offered me , and New Baby from Margaret Sherry that I stitched on a bib.

Vole Chickadee, vole....

Vous les attendiez avec impatience (et moi avec appréhension =D) ...
Les voici les voilà, les chickadees sont terminés , le coussin , ou plutôt la housse de coussin est montée et je suis plus que satisfaite du résultat !
Je trouve le tout fort joli et je suis certaine qu'il saura faire plaisir....

Mon homme avait raison, je vais avoir du mal à m'en séparer  =)
Je pense que c'est mon 1er gros ouvrage à la machine, mon 1er gros ouvrage de couture et je le trouve réussi !
Le coussin à l'intérieur est fait maison lui aussi =)
Biensur une fois de plus je dois remercier ma moitié qui m'a beaucoup aidée pour avoir ce joli résultat ♥

Un gros objectif de réalisé, mais on ne s'arrête pas sur la lancée =D
Beaucoup de choses à faire encore
Et puis j'espère que mon paquet parti au Canada ne s'est pas perdu en route...3 semaines bientôt qu'il est parti et je voudrais bien vous montrer ce que j'ai fait... à suivre !

My pillow case is now finished and I must admit I'm very very happy with the result... !

It took me about 3 hours and I'm sure next time I'll do quicker, but I took my time not to make any mistake and here is the result

I have to thank again my soulmate who once again helped me with the fabric cutting ♥

I'm now sure his mother will love this gift

It's my first 'big sewn goal' ! 

Just one to make another now =D

I made the inside pillow too because I couldn't find a pillow with the exact measures 

Don't stop now Valerie, you still have many things to do =D

I hope soon I will show you my last 'secret parcel' which is still on the road after 3 weeks :-/

Fishing cat

Avec le jeudi férié et le pont qui a suivi je ne suis pas passée par ici très souvent :(
Occupée que j'étais à des tas d'autres choses et à passer du temps avec mon homme en congés =D

J'ai continué Winnie , j'ai bien commencé mon chat d'été et puis un nouveau projet secret...donc chut :)

Cependant un de mes colis secret est arrivé à bon port lui et maintenant je peux vous montrer...

 La pauvre n'a rien reçu lors de l'échange de printemps sur le blog des fans de Margaret Sherry :(
Quelqu'un s'est inscrit et n'a pas respecté son engagement , sa partenaire ne lui a rien envoyé... !!!
Du fait, pour 'compenser' un peu ce manque j'ai décidé d'envoyer quelque chose =D
Un tout petit quelque chose à cause du manque de temps mais je sais que cela lui a fait très plaisir car la surprise était totale et qu'elle adore les chats =D
Elle avait beaucoup aimé le tissu que j'avais utilisé pour la boule à épingle de véro la dernière fois, alors je lui en ai refait une et voilà.... =D

Last Thursday was a blank day here again and since then, as hubby is on holidays I didn't come around here :-/

I have been too busy in the house !

I continued Winnie , and also my summer cat and started my last secret goal (for the moment =D) , my somebunny so can't tell or show anything...

Hoping my cousin won't read the English part, for those who know I started Sstory Time =D

One of my secret parcels arrived, and it well arrived in Australia, by Noni

It's fishing cat from Margaret Sherry, I made a small bag with it, and a pin cushion in the same fabric

I knew Noni enjoyed this fabric I used for the pin cushion I made for my friend the other day =D

This parcel was for the Spring Exchange on MS lovers blog.

Noni was not my partner at the beginning, but as her partner signed in for the exchange and didn't send anything....finding it was not fair....and wanting Noni to smile with us...I decided to make this little something =D

It's only a little something because time was missing to me, but anyway I put lot's of love in each stitch =D

This afternoon I'll make my pillow case with chickadees =D

 If somebody knows where the sun is hiding, please denounce him !!!

Balade au Canada !

Le soleil est revenu ce week end !!
On ne sait pas si ça va durer, alors on en a profité...nous sommes allé faire un balade au Canada =D
Oui au Canada, ou du moins sur cette petite partie de terre offerte au Canada en 1922,  à Vimy vers Arras
Le mémorial canadien, hommage aux 3500 soldats environ qui ont perdu la vie en 1917 en tentant de (et en réussissant à) reprendre la crête aux Allemands, les noms et matricules de tous les soldats y sont gravés

Il y a encore des obus non explosés alors on ne peut pas se balader partout mais on peut quand même voir les trous que ceux qui ont explosés ont laissé !

Pour terminer une 'balade' dans les tranchées qui ont été 'restaurées'

Il y aurait beaucoup à dire sur cet endroit !
J'aime aller y faire un tour de temps en temps. Un arbre a été planté pour chaque soldat resté là bas, beaucoup d'érables ce qui donne à Vimy une couleur magnifique en automne....

Pas de petites croix à vous montrer aujourd’hui, mais un petit partage du coin  =D
J'en ai pourtant fait, une toute petite broderie d'Adam Prescott pour une naissance, mais je dois encore faire le montage, je vous montre demain =D

Sun came back !!!!

We don't know how long he forecasts to stay...so  we profited by his presence and went walking...in Canada =D

Yes, in Canada, or at least on the piece of land given to Canada in 1922.  Maybe Canadian friends coming around here know about this place.

It's in Vimy, near Arras. 

The Canadian Memorial rises in the memory of the about 3500 soldiers who lost their lives in 1917, trying to get back the crest from the German. And they succeeded. All their names and  service numbers are engraved in the stone.

We can't go walking everywhere because there are still non exploded shells all around :-/

That's why only sheeps can go everywhere !

But we can see the holes, numerous and deep holes in the ground left by the shells !

We can also walk in the trenches, and there are underpasses that we can visit.

One tree per soldier have been planted, most of all are maple trees, which give to Vimy a wonderful landscape in Autumn.

There's a lot to say about this place that I love, I just wanted to share a little with you

I only stitched a little this weekend, a little cute bunny from Adam Prescott's design that I have to sew, I'll show you tomorrow =D

Les chickadees sont terminés...

...et y'a plus qu'à !!!!
Tout est terminé au niveau de la broderie, ils sont repassés,  il ne me reste plus qu'à faire le montage de la housse de coussin
mission 'presque' impossible =D
Ils sont vraiment très mignons ces petits oiseaux, je suis satisfaite du résultat !
sur la 2éme photo le tissu et le ruban choisis pour le coussin
le final devrait être réussi si je dompte ma Singer comme il faut =D
et puis je vais avoir de l'aide de ma moitié de choc =D
Mes colis secrets ne sont toujours pas arrivés alors je ne peux toujours pas vous montrer mes dernières réalisations =D

j'ai continué Winnie, je vous montre la prochaine fois. 2 lettres de plus et un personnage...
Et j'ai reçu mon kit Somebunny je vais pouvoir m'y mettre, il serait temps !!!!

On the contrary, I received my Somebunny and will start the stitching for my cousin who will soon give birth now !!!

Joli mois de mai...

Tu parles !
Toute cette pluie et cette grisaille ça commence à miner le moral :-/
Heureusement certains événements sont là pour apporter un peu de soleil =D
Vous vous souvenez du Hello Kitty, mon tout 1er Hello Kitty...
hé bien ce petit livret à aiguilles m'a permis de gagner le concours organisé par Sandra =D

Je suis très contente, mais déjà c'était une victoire parce que Sandra était très heureuse de recevoir mon cadeau =D
Je vous montrerai ma récompense quand je l'aurai reçue =D

Après ça, je vais commencer mon échange d'été et mon chat d'été pour la SAL du blog des fans de Margaret Sherry , et puis un petit challenge jusque mercredi, parce qu'une de nos amies qui a participé à l'échange de printemps n'a rien reçu :(
Sa partenaire s'est désistée sans prévenir personne et la pauvre depuis 1 mois attend son petit paquet mais rien...
Du fait, avec quelques croixpinettes on a décidé de remédier à tout ça et de lui faire un envoie surprise =D
Pas de photo de suite donc, tout comme pour mon dernier paquet surprise qui est parti hier vers le Canada =D

Le WIP des chickadees

Les voici les voilà, les chickadees la suite =D
Je ne m’attendais pas à un tel résultat !
La broderie est vraiment très jolie et si le coussin que je veux faire ressemble à l'idée que je m'en fais il va vraiment être superbe =D
Modestie quand tu nous tiens...
J'ai encore des progrès à faire en couture alors on verra bien !
En attendant c'est vraiment un plaisir de faire ce point de croix !
J'ai pu terminer une partie de mon dernier projet secret =D
Je ne peux toujours pas partager ici mais ça ne devrait pas tarder....

Here are some news of my chickadees =D

The second is not finished yet but it's well progressing

I really enjoy stitching this design  ! I didn't expect such a result in fact ! really

It gives a lovely stitching and if the cushion I want to make looks like the idea I have in mind, it will be really great =D

Hubby says that I won't want to give it to his mother =D

I found the fabric and the ribbon this afternoon...

I know that I still have progress to do in sewing...but wait and see !

I also finished a part of my last secret goal  , hehehe, can't show you yet, but soon....
