L'échange de printemps

J'ai dis tout à l'heure après le post sur mon Award que c'était tout pour aujourd'hui...et puis le facteur a sonné à la porte...et ce n'est pas tout pour aujourd'hui =D
J'ai reçu ce matin un colis des Pays Bas
c'est la 'carte' pour l'échange de printemps sur le blog des fans de Margaret Sherry
Olli était mon partenaire pour cet échange...et j'avoue que j'ai été plus que gâtée !!!!
Moi qui pensait recevoir une carte.... !

Une superbe souris (moi qui adore les souris de Margaret Sherry) , sur une superbe trousse qu'Olli a faite spécialement pour moi, et des rubans , du fil...
c'est juste SUPERBE, j'adore, je suis ...trop contente ! il n'y a pas de mot tellement je suis contente =D

Je garde cette trousse précieusement, et puis je prends ça comme un cadeau d'anniversaire avant l'heure, un tout petit peu avant l'heure =D

    Because I had lot's of troubles with mine, but made some great friends during this period

2 - I loooooooooooove Scotland and I'm sure that in a previous life I've been a Scot =D

3 - After Harry Potter, my favourite readings are books from Hening Mankel ! Yes :)

4 - My favourite actor is Michael Caine and my favourite music band is Muse =D

5 -  My favourite dish is Paella =D

Au bord de la mer....

Petite pause dans Winnie ( oui je sais ...encore :-/ ) mais j'avais envie de faire une création qui me germait en tête depuis quelques temps....
L'idée était de faire plaisir à Maman, pour qui je n'ai encore rien fait alors qu'elle me voit distribuer mes créations à tout le monde et même partout dans le monde =D
C'est une guirlande sur le thème de la mer pour mettre au mobil home =D
Deux petites façades de maisons de plage, des boutons poissons et crustacés et des petites fioles remplies de sable, de sel de Guérande et de coquillages ramassés un jour en Bretagne !
Et voilà ....
Je pense qu'elle devrait en être contente ♥

I made a garland for Mum !

My parents are young retired persons, and have a small pied à terre by the sea...

I never done anything for Mum and she is always seeing me distributing my creations to everyone, even all around the world...never said it but I think she was a bit jealous =D 

hehehehe

then...

I bought two little beach houses doors, buttons , cord, phials which I filled with salt, sand and shells found one day on the beach in Bretagne (Brittany) ....

Made 3 little cushions with 6 different designs

St Patrick et biscornus

C'est bien connu, la St Patrick, c'est sympathique :)
Nous l'avons fêté hier soir avec une petite journée d'avance et c'était extra !
Pour l'occasion, j'avais envie de faire plaisir (et j’espère que le pari a été tenu...non j'en suis sure en fait :D ) et j'ai fait 2 petits biscornus de St Patrick :D
Les carrés étaient de 7cm de côté je suis certaine de pouvoir faire encore plus petit =D

Yesterday evening, we celebrated St Patrick day =D

One day before, I know, but we had a great time with 2 good Irish bands playing good music and 2 precious friends of mine ♥

For the occasion, I made them two small St Patrick' biscornus =D

Squares of fabric were 7cm , and I'm sure I can make smaller one now =D

I think my friends were really happy with this gift....

Today I made an happy dance.... Some rest of the Irish music maybe :)

No, just because my issue of Cross Stitch Crazy arrived this morning, earlier than forecasted ....and I'm sooooo happy =D

Spring Cat - SAL#3

I chose lilac linen and decided to make a little bag in which I put pot-pourri, peach scented =D

I found a funny ribbon too =D

Now I'm going to start my Spring card for the exchange (It will fly to Canada this time =D and I already chose the design) and after I'll begin the Summer cat

I still have to find an idea for the finish and a fabric too....

Bientôt Pâques...

C'est bientôt Pâques, et comme mars est le mois de la maison...nous avons (déjà) fait un arbre de Pâques =D
C'est la 1ère année que j'en fais un alors que je voulais le faire depuis longtemps...
Cette nouvelle maison a vraiment de bons effets sur moi =D
Au pied, des coupons de lin que j'ai trouvé sur internet , entouré de jolis rubans que je pourrais réutiliser...

Easter is arriving.... And as March is the month of our home, we (already) made an Easter tree =D

I have always wanted to make an Easter tree but never did one ! 

Maybe our new home has positive waves on me =D

At its feet, the pieces of linen I ordered on the Internet ! They arrived on Friday.

I can even use the ribbons they are wrapped with :)

Dimanche c'était la fête des grand mères et pour l’occasion nous sommes allés au resto en famille, et je voulais partager cette photo faite avec ma grand mère qui fêtera ses 90 ans cette année ♥

Yesterday was the Grand mother day here in France, and we went to the restaurant with the whole family (Dad's part of the family....)

Second biscornu :)

J'ai les aiguilles qui fument =D
Voici mon 2nd biscornu avec un motif Celte....
Je pensais qu'il serait plus petit mais il est bien aussi =D
Je vais essayer de trouver une grille pour un tout petit biscornu, après tout jamais 2 sans 3....
Un petit goût d'Ecosse...nostalgie....

Here is my second biscornu, with a Celtic design...

I thought it would be smaller but it's great anyway

I'd like to find a chart to make a very small biscornu, as we say never thrice without twice =D

I put it in a quaich for the picture, a little thing to taste whisky that we brought back from Scotland of course =D

You all know now that we love Scotland in this house :)

For the little history , the Nessie on the second picture comes from another trip to Scotland we made...we went to Loch Ness and there was a shop where a guy was doing things in glass and he made this one before my eyes and offered me it as a fan of French people he was =D

Petit week end au point de croix....

Je devrais faire des photos du WIP de Winnie, il avance bien !
Mais en attendant le weekend a été varié !
J'ai fait un second coussin avec l'Union Jack Snail pour ma Léa  ♥
Le ruban est différent , c'est un de ceux que j'ai acheté en Angleterre,  et puis son expression est différente aussi....
J'ai également commencé un second biscornu avec des motifs celtes cette fois ci :)
Il devrait être plus petit que le 1er....
J'ai aussi fait une carte que je ne peux dévoiler tout de suite, tant qu'elle n'a pas atteint sa destination...
D'ailleurs Cheena (comme sa tante d'Afrique du Sud l'a surnommée) la cache bien comme il faut =D

I should post pictures of my Winnie's WIP, it's well progressing ! 

But meanwhile, here is what I did this week end !

I made another cushion with the union Jack Snail for my cousin Léa who kindly ask me to do her one after having seen mine =D

I took another ribbon, one of those I bought at the creative crafts show. Its 'face' is different from the 1st one

I also started another biscornu with a Celtic design :)

It will be smaller than the 1st but I think it will be nice

And I also made a card, but till it hasn't reach its destination I can't show you, besides, Cheena (as her aunt from South Africa nicknamed her =D) is well hiding it.....

Et puis au courrier est arrivé de la part de Lesley un superbe livre avec des Teddy bears de Joan Elliott
Ce livre est absolument magnifique, j'y ai déjà  repéré des oursons à faire =D
Merci encore à Lesley qui m'a gentiment envoyé ce livre quand elle a lu que je cherchais des oursons type Teddy bear pour le bébé de ma cousine....
Merci merci merci pour ce très gentil et très beau cadeau....

And mister postman brought me an absolutely wonderful book from Lesley ♥

This book is just splendid ! I already found designs I would like to stitch =D

Creative Craft Show

Hi girls,

Here I'm to tell you more about the craft show....

First, we forgot the camera :(

So I only made pictures with my phone, but it was not really a problem because everywhere there were signs 'please, no pictures' !!

It was in a luxurious hotel , surrounded by a park and a golf course ! 

Very beautiful and we had a good walk...

Lot's of people ! About 50 exhibitors, and I was a little bit disappointed because there were only 5 exhibitors  for Xstitch :(

Lot's of beads, knitting, accessories, decopatch, card making...

Anyway, we spent a good time :)

There were workshops of beading, silk painting, decopatch, card making...very interesting !

I bought a bag ! ( I love bags, and pens... =D)

A knitted bag, that a woman was making for a charity cause....

I've been allowed to take a picture of her, because I wanted to show you her science fiction knitting needles =D

Never saw such needles before !

I found magazines that I don't find in France, no need to order them :)

And I found ribbons, a little magnifying lamp, butterflies stickers and charms

I really don't find charms here :(

I'm happy because I found butterflies charms, I can now really personalise my creations :)

I bought this fabric origami needle book !

I saw some already made and it's really beautiful ! I'll try to make one !

I'll have pictures to show you :)

And most of all, you know now my love for mice, hedgehogs and squirrels (it's because we used to have an adorable degu...) and I couldn't resist to this lovely squirrel, who is now going to be my blog's mascot =D

Any idea for a name ?? =D

Nothing very interesting you may say (except knowing to what I look like now =D)...but it's because Arras is the French town where I went to university ! 

Ipswich is twined with Arras, and the plaque stands in memory of one professor I had =D

just to say that it brought back good memories.... =D

C'était chouette, je raconte et je mets des photos demain... en attendant voici mon 1er biscornu ...
Je l'ai terminé cet après midi, c'est tout ce que j'aurai fait du week-end =D
Contente du résultat ! pour une première...une bonne première !
J'ai utilisé un ruban provenant d'un coffret de parfum offert il n'y a pas longtemps :)

I'm back from England

But meanwhile here is my first biscornu =D

I finished it this afternoon !

With butterflies of course, I used a piece of fabric from the stocking, a piece of a ribbon which was wrapping a perfume box I have been offered a day  =D

I'm happy with the result....
My first biscornu !  It seems that 2012 is the year of my Firsts =D

C'est la St Valentin ...

...Ou on est juste le 14 février , au choix =D
Tout de même, Cupidon est passé et a apporté un très joli vase et des frésias qui sentent très bon, et qui mettent une touche de printemps dans cette journée grise !
Cupidon Bordelais a apporté le vase et les fleurs, Cupidon d'Afrique du Sud a envoyé une très chouette carte faite main, avec un magnifique poème à l'intérieur ...qu’égoïstement je garde pour moi =D

Anyway, Cupid came and left a gorgeous  vase with smelling freesias (one of my favourite flower !) 

A touch of Spring it this rainy day ! 

'Hubby Cupid' brought flowers ....'Cucki Cupid' brought sun from South Africa =D

I received this morning a lovely handmade card, with an absolutely superb poem, that I selfishly keep for myself =D

Emotions again after the one of last week......!

Lovely...

And as nothing can stop me now, I decided to make a small cushion =D

My first !!

I still have progress to make with the sizes and sewing but really, I'm satisfied with the result for my first Cushion =D

I used one the charm which was in the Xmas stocking  =D
