Quelques moutons....

Hello le Monde :)

On essaye de garder le cap et de publier régulièrement...pour le moment ça fonctionne !
Aujourd'hui c'est mouton donc, après tout c'est bientôt Pâques
Et autant je ne l'aime pas dans mon assiette...en broderie c'est une autre histoire :)
Tout d'abord, une grille qui m'avait été offerte par Mii.

Sheep in the meadow par LHN (encore...) brodée sur du lin
Du tissu qui va bien et hop, un tableau magnétique pour le bureau :D
Bon il est encore un peu vide, mais je compte bien y mettre quelques photos tout de même !

Honte sur moi j'ai aussi fait 2 petites pièces il y a très longtemps (presque 2 ans !!) et je ne les avais pas montrées ici !
Un petit Shepherd's bush, Friendship, qui était parti au Canada chez Kate :

Je l'avais terminé en petit coussin, tout comme cette grille de Lizzie Kate qui m'avait offerte Carol
Un petit régal avec pourtant un dessin très simple.

En début d'année je me suis lancée dans les Histoires de moutons de Jardin Privé.
J'en ai déjà fait 2 et je compte bien continuer la série.
Ces 2 premières ont été encadrées et accrochées sous l'escalier. Mais dans le feu de l'action elles ont été mises sous cadre et nous n'avons pas fait de photo de la broderie avant !
Donc les voici encadrées !

On fera mieux la prochaine fois :D

C'est la dernière photo tout en bas.
Très bientôt il sera temps de vous montrer les petites merveilles de la SAL organisée par Maja !

Hi the World 
I hope everybody is fine. Here the flue is terrible and even if we are now better we take care anyway, as we are surrounded by ill persons !
I really try to stay tuned here and it seems to work :)
Better than last year ! I'm happy with that.
So today is sheep day. I hate it in my plate but I really love stitching sheep :D
The first are by LHN and it was a chart Mii offered me , Sheep in the Meadow  

After sewing with ribbon and fabric that seem to be made especially for this piece, Hubby transformed it in a magnetic board for our office :)
For the moment it is still a bit empty but soon I will choose pictures and magnets to ornate it :)
Then , shame on me, I made 2 little pieces almost 2 years ago (!!!!) that I didn't show here
But better late than never !
The first is a Shepherd's Bush design , Friendship, that went to Canada by Kate

And the second is a chart I had been offered by Carol, a sampler by Lizzie Kate.
Such a simple design but so cute

 You could also see 2 little frames above, those are by Jardin Privé, Histoires de Moutons
I want to stitch them all but for the moment only made 2. And I was so impatient to have them framed and hanged that I forgot to take pictures of the stitched pieces before :(

My WIP on Summer at Cherry Hill is well progressing. The picture is bad as I took it with my phone but I wanted to share here anyway :)

Next time I will show you little wonders of charts offered by Maja for her SAL I joined.
Already 4 pieces done as April is very close now....

Ho flower of Scotland....

Non non, je n'ai pas redisparu de la circulation :)
Nous nous sommes accordé presque 2 semaines de décompression intense....en Écosse :D

La reprise s'est faite sur des chapeaux de roues et me voici seulement aujourd'hui pour vous montrer quelques photos (le choix a été difficile...) de cet endroit magnifique que nous affectionnons tout particulièrement !

Nous étions super bien logés, au milieu de la nature et bien positionnés pour pouvoir rayonner ;)
on en a fait des kilomètres, mais ça valait le coup !

Partis en mai plutôt qu'en septembre comme d'habitude, nous avons découvert l’Écosse sous d'autres couleurs, une autre nature...et même avec de la neige :)

Un beau voyage bien dépaysant avec une seule promesse au retour, celle de ne pas attendre 8 ans pour y retourner :D

Au retour nous nous avons fait un petit arrêt à Stratford Upon Avon, la ville natale de Shakespeare :)
Depuis le temps que je voulais y mettre les pieds !

Pas de croix cette fois ci, mes aiguilles ont un peu été en vacances :)

No, I haven't disappeared again :D
We just made a break of about 2 weeks and went to Scotland.
Both Hubby and I are great Scotland lovers, we are fond of Scotland and hadn't been there for 8 years !!!

Fairy pools - Skye

Usually we go in September, going in May allowed us to see that wonderful country through other colours, another landscape, nature...and even with snow !

We had a terrific lodge , somewhere at the Ben Nevis foot (see in the pictures above) perfectly situated to drive here and there and discover beautiful places.
We play Geocaching and this made us discovering places we had never been before :)

Eilean Donan castle - Utilisé pour le film Highlander / Used in the movie Highlander

Edinburgh, Loch Ness, Isle if Skye.... we really had a wonderful trip !
We promised ourselves to not wait for 8 years before coming back ;)

Carrbridge

Here is the Glenfinnan bridge, that was used in Harry Potter movies :)
The train used at that time is still on. It is a very beautiful one but that was too expensive for us to take it. We wanted to see it on the bridge but hadn't that luck ;)

We just walked in the paces of Rob Roy in the Glencoe and William Wallace in the Borders ;)

New Abbey

On the way back, we made a stop at Stratford Upon Avon , the town where Shakespeare was born ;)
For years I've been wanting to visit it ! it has been a short stop but it is such a lovely town that it worth the few miles more and coming back home later.
And look what we saw there ? 2 perfect shops :)

No cross stitch to share with you this time... it will come with another post soon :)

...on continue avec des lapins....

D'accord j'aurai du continuer plus tôt mais j'ai attrapé une saleté de rhume, bronchite je ne sais pas quoi qui m'a clouée toute la fin de semaine :-/
Rien eu de tout l'hiver et alors qu'il commence à faire beau paf ! La crève :(
Mais il n'est jamais trop tard pour continuer ici....
Aujourd’hui lapins donc.
D'abord des lapins que j'avais fait pour noël (je sais...c'est bientôt pâques et j'ai encore des choses de noël en réserve... mais promis ce sont les dernières...: D)

2 lapins de Christiane Dalhbeck pour ma cousine grande fan de petits lapins :)
La toile est vert anis normalement, mais la photo ne rend pas vraiment hommage à la couleur !
C'était l'hiver ...il faisait sombre :)
J'avais fait des chats aussi pour terminer les 3 pièces en petits plateaux...pour toute la famille.

Et puis c'est un lapin que j'ai reçu de la part de Carol :)
Ce petit coussin (petit parce qu'il ne fait pas plus de 10cm de haut tout compris...) est superbe ! La broderie est toute fine et il y a des minis perles ajoutées...
Un grand merci encore à Carol pour ces jolis cadeaux.

J'ai craqué et j'ai attaqué de suite le sampler Lizzie Kate avec ces mimi moutons ! il ne reste plus qu'à le repasser et mettre les perles et la breloque...et à le terminer ! mais les moutons ce sera pour une autre fois :)

Cucki m'a également gâtée avec cette jolie guirlande de cœurs qu'elle a faite rien que pour moi.

J'ai aussi eu beaucoup de chance en gagnant la giweway de Marie Christine, ce sont les coupons ('immenses' :D) de tissus sur la dernière photo. Merci Marie Christine :)

I wanted to update sooner, continuing to show you my beautiful gifts...but I've been stuck since Wednesday with a cold or flu, fever and the sensation to have a cauliflower in place of my brain....
But it's never too late !
Look above the beautiful hearts garland made & offered by Cucki and that made my day :D
Thank you so much again sweet Cucki for that lovely gift that is already hanged in my craft room :)

So last time it was question of owls, today it is bunnies ...
I stitched those 2 bunnies from Christiane Dalhbeck and offered them to my cousin (Anna's mum is a great fan of bunnies...) for Christmas ! 
Yes, Easter is almost here and I'm still showing Christmas gifts...but those 3 pieces are the last one I have to show :)

I also stitched cats for her mum and sister, and Super Half finished them as small trays :)
The pictures have been made during winter and are a bit bad...
But the 3 gifts have been very appreciated :D

The other bunny, the cutest...came from Carol :)

Believe me, it's already very beautiful in pictures but in real....wow !
My furry fellow came along with a mini kit from Lizzie Kate with small sheep, the one with black heads that I so love :D
A very cute design to which I couldn't resist long, as it is now finished ! Only the beads and the charm, an apple, to add ...and of course the finish...but sheep will be for later...!
Next time I have to show you butterflies :D

Les 3 derniers !

L'an passé j'ai commencé une série de 12 moutons que j'avais décidé de terminer en dessous de verre.
Il en restait 3 à faire , que j'ai brodés en ce début d'année et terminés la semaine dernière =)
Voici donc les 3 dernières vertus , Gratitude, Kindness et Joyfulness :

Mon projet d'une année aura un peu débordé sur 2 années mais en même temps je n'étais pas pressé, même si je suis bien contente de les avoir tous !
Mes pièces de printemps avancent à petits pas, pas aussi vite que je le voudrais mais j'avance bien par contre sur le projet pour les petits pieds portugais qui vont bientôt arriver alors ça c'est parfait =)

Maybe you remember that last year I started my 'one year project' with the 12 sheep virtues by LHN.
If not, or if you arrived after dear new readers, follow me, it's here =)
3 were left and I finished them this year, even last week only !
Gratitude, Kindness and Joyfulness have joined the set of coasters I decided as the finish for those lovely sheep.

I'm very happy with those coasters, even if it took more than one year to gather them all. Only 2 months more, not a disaster =)
Besides those sheep my pieces for the Spring shelf are slowly progressing...but never mind, Spring seems not to be for now finally ! 
We no more have tempests but days are still very rainy and cold !
Spring pieces are progressing slowly but I'm well progressing on my secret project for the little Portuguese feet that are about to arrive, and that sounds perfect to me =D

Le projet d'une année...

...c'est pour moi compter les moutons , et fort heureusement je ne me suis pas endormie  =)
 Little House Needleworks a sorti tous les mois un mouton associé à une vertu et j'avoue j'ai craqué !
A la maison on a un faible pour les rongeurs...mais pour les moutons aussi :)
Depuis janvier donc, tous les mois, un petit mouton est né...
ça c'est le premier, Hope (espoir)

Pour le moment j'en ai fait 9, le dixième attend sur la table de travail...et les derniers ne sont pas encore sortis.
Tour à tour donc, Love (amour), Peace (Paix), Courage, Faith (foi), Wisdom (Sagesse)....

.... Simplicity, Patience, Frienship (amitié) ... sont apparus sous les croix , en petits carrés de 10 centimètres par 10 centimètres.
Normalement ils étaient tous à broder sur la même toile , pour être encadrés ou autre mais une fois n'est pas coutume, il a fallu que je cherche une idée originale pour les finir =D

Sur une boutique un peu spécialisée en article à 'décorer' avec des broderies ou des photos, j'ai trouvé des carrés de plastiques pile à la taille...en fait...des dessous de verres =D
Et mes moutons se sont alors transformés en 12 (enfin pour le moment 9...) dessous de verres =)
Sympa non ?
Surtout pratique ! et pas besoin d'un nouveau cadre et d'un autre mur...

In 2013 I had a 'year project', which had been to count sheep...and fortunately, I didn't fall asleep =D
LHN issued the 12 sheep virtues and I must admit... I succumbed !
Here at home we have a passion for rondents, but also for sheep (and reindeer at Christmas !)
So since January, a little sheep came to the world each month, under my needle & threads.

Hope, Love, Peace, Courage, Simplicity, Patience, Wisdom, Friendship, Faith... for the moment 9 done, the 10th (Kindness) is still waiting in the stitching basket, and the last 2 one haven't been issued yet !
12 squares of only 10x10 centimetres.

They should have been stitched on the same fabric, to be framed or whatever...but you know me by now...I had to find a 'special' finish =)
I bought in an on-line shop specialized in articles to customise with pictures or stitchings...squares of plastic...at the perfect size...sold by 12 (really perfect :D) .... you guessed it ?
Yes... coasters =D

Very useful and no need for a new frame or another wall =)
I found in a shop close to home the perfect coasters holder (initially there were paper towels in it)
I love my coasters and can't wait to stitch Kindness and the last 2 others.
Hope you love them too. I'm curious to know which one is your favourite =)
Mine is Simplicity and Hubby is Wisdom. I love the colours and he loves the wool...

I don't forget the travelling pattern I have to prepare for its next trip...
