I had a very mice exchange :)

Une fois de plus ça fait longtemps que je ne suis pas passée par ici !
Une vie bien remplie (tant mieux...) et puis je l'avoue trop de temps passé sur l'ordi en journée au boulot alors le soir...pas envie :(
Mais aujourd'hui me voilà pour dévoiler les cadeaux reçus et envoyés, lors d'un échange sur le blog des fans de Margaret Sherry :D

Je devais envoyer un sourire (le thème de l'échange)  à Nia au Portugal, et c'est Preeti qui devait m'en envoyer un d'Inde.
Autant le dire, mission accomplie !
Première fois que j'avais une partenaire en Inde et premier échange pour Preeti qui m'a trop gâtée :)

Un très joli livret à épingles (son tout premier), bordé d'un lacet de crochet qu'elle a aussi réalisé.
Les pages sont elles aussi brodées avec tour à tour des perles, des fleurs, des papillons....

Du violet, des souris....Preeti était certaine de faire mouche :D
Ajoutés à cette déjà très chouette pièce, il y avait des tas de cadeaux typiquement indiens et typiquement broderie ;)
Une fois de plus mille mercis à Preeti !
Banane le sourire, banane :D

Et puis il y a ma pièce... pour Nia.
Le bébé de Nia ayant eu un an en début d'année ce dessin s'imposait :D

Super Moitié m'a fait un plateau , bleu forcément, la couleur de Nia et hop hop , le tout est parti au Portugal (2 semaines pour arriver !!!!!) et de ce que j'en sais il a bien fait plaisir :D

Cela faisait bien longtemps que je n'avais pas participé à un échange... j'avais oublié comment c'était agréable ;)
Comme tout le reste ... expérience à renouveler très vite !

One more time, I've been absent here.... 2 months already !
But we having busy weeks and weekends (sounds great) and I must also admit that being on the computer all day long at work, when evening comes I'm fed up with computers :(
I also had a terrible lumbago that lasted 2 weeks and tired me so much....
But here I am today, to show you how I had a (very) "mice exchange" with friends from the Margaret Sherry lovers' blog.

It was called "give a smile exchange" and no doubt that I received a smile and send one :D
Preeti from India was my smile sender. her very first exchange and a real success as I'm really in love with everything she sent me !!!!
Have you seen that superb needlebook she made me ? :D

Purple, Mice.... Preeti made the right choice !
All the pages are embroidered with flowers, butterflies...
There was also in the parcel that only took 4 days to come (mine reached Portugal in 2 weeks !!!!) plenty of goodies either specially for Xstitch or typically Indian.

Everything is so beautiful, sweet, cute, lovely....Preeti, once again thousands of thank you for all those gifts.
I'm blessed and for sure it is a banana smile I have on my face :D

Nia's baby is 1 year old now and the design I chose was obvious for her :D
And mice are also my signature :D
 
Super Half finished it in a tray, a blue one, her colour and voilà....

 
I totally forgot to take the goodies in picture except the mug :(

A great occasion to come back too....

La boite aux lettres, le facteur et moi....

... une grande histoire ...presque d'amour =)
Ces dernières semaines j'ai reçu des cadeaux de partout !

C'est Simone qui a déclenché les hostilités en m'envoyant une pièce de tissu violet à pois et ... des véritable tongues brésiliennes
Ne sont elles pas superbes ?!! =)

Pas facile de prendre correctement en photo le charm sur celle de droite mais c'est un papillon avec des strass =)
J'adore !!! ma toute première paire de tongues, il fallait qu'elles soient du Brésil. Je ne suis pas une fan des orteils apparents =D
Mais pour le coup je vais devoir changer mes habitudes !!! Vivement que ce soit la saison de les mettre.
Encore mille merci Simone pour ce très beau cadeau.

Ensuite j'ai reçu un livret à épingles de Kate.  C'est à moi de le coudre version patchwork, depuis le temps que je veux m'y mettre j'ai intérêt à assurer =D
J'aime beaucoup les différents tissus et Kate a ajouté une pochette pour mouchoirs en papier qu'elle a faite elle même. Super pratique et surtout trop gentil. Merci encore

Un bonheur n'arrivant jamais seul...déjà que là, ils étaient à 2....c'est Steph qui m'a envoyé 'juste comme ça' un magnifique livret à aiguille et une petite boule à épingle 'câlin gratuit' en forme de coeur =)

Between the letter box, mister postman and me ....it's almost a love story =D
I have been RAKed those last weeks and today I have to show you everything...

Simone started the gifts war and sent me a beautiful piece of purple fabric ... and ... a superb pair of true Brazilian flip-flop ! aren't they superb ?? The colour and the butterfly charm...perfect for me =D
I love them ! Can you believe it's my first flip flop pair ?! I don't like showing my toes but I'll have to change my habits because I want to wear them !
Can't wait the sun comes back =D

I won her giveaway , a needle case to sew in a patchwork way.

Fleur de Digoin

Il y a quelques années, quand je me suis 'installée', ma grand mère m'a donné de vieilles assiettes à elle, avec des fleurs de Digoin. (désolée les cousines ... c'est moi la plus vieille =D)
Depuis j'ai un peu agrémenté ma collection de vaisselle estampillée de cette fleur, et j'ai pour elle une affection toute particulière je l'avoue.
Aussi quand l'échange avec le groupe français sur le thème des fleurs a pointé son nez, la fleur de Digoin m'a paru être une évidence =)

Je suis toujours impressionnée par les grilles qui n'ont aucun point arrière, où seulement le mélange des fils donne toute sa dimension au sujet =)
Encore une broderie que j'ai failli garder...
Comme j'ai déjà échangé plusieurs fois avec ma partenaire et que je lui ai déjà fait un petit pochon et un petit coussin...j'ai choisi l'option livret à épingles pour changer.
J'ai trouvé par hasard le tissu Liberty qui semblait fait pour cette fleur !

Aucun ajout, ni ruban ni bouton...juste quelques pages en feutrine à l'intérieur.
Je le dis à chaque fois, mais de la fleur de Digoin...il va vraiment falloir que j'en borde pour moi...!
Il y en a tellement de différentes... et ce serait parfait dans ma cusine =)

J'ai aussi eu la chance de gagner un petit concours sur le blog de Bruna visant à trouver un nom pour sa machine à coudre...qui a donc été baptisée Coco ... comme Coco Chanel. 
Merci beaucoup Bruna pour ces cadeaux reçus la semaine dernière.
Je vais vite attaquer le Summer Iris que j'aime beaucoup.

Some years ago, when I got my first home...my Grandmother gave me old plates of hers, with the famous Fleur de Digoin on them.
Since then I bought  other crockery with this flower, for which I must admit, I have a special affection.
(surely because I saw those plates very often at my Grandma's home...and that they are linked to her)
So when our French group decided on an exchange on the theme of 'flowers', it was evident to me to stitch a Digoin flower...

I really love those designs with no backstitch, when only the perfect association of colours gives life to the subject...
I had difficulties to post the parcel  I can tell you =)
I know I say this very often but I really have to stitch some of this flower again for me, there are so many different one !
As I already made 2 exchanges with my partner and that she already received from me a pouch and a pillow...I chose to sew a needlebook.
Just sewed felt pages inside and added nothing, no ribbon, no button..I found it perfect this way, with this fabric I had and that has surely been made for this flower !
It's a Liberty one.
Don't you find embroidery and crockery are very similar ? =D

 I'm in love and I hope my partner will enjoy her gift.
Speaking about gift, I won a giveaway on Bruna's blog some weeks ago =)
Lucky me. Bruna wanted to find a name for her sewing machine and it has been christened Coco , like Coco Chanel =)
I received lovely gifts from Bruna, obrigada again sweetie, I so love everything !  You made me very happy.
The ribbon meter is so funny. 
I will soon start Summer Iris,  I really love this design. I'll surely offer it to one of you as soon as I have finished it, I can't keep such a cute design for me alone ... so watch this space =)

I hope the weather will improve for the wedding next Saturday ! It's raining cats and dogs, and it's so windy  ! 
Definitely Summer is not with us !!

Encore une souris....

Hé oui, encore une =)
Je vous l'avais bien dit...
Il y a quelques temps sur le blog des fans de Margaret Sherry il y avait l'échange de Pâques. Une fois n'est pas coutume...une personne n'a pas respecté son engagement et Annette n'a rien reçu pour cet échange =(
Il y a toujours espoir que le colis venant de loin est encore sur la route...mais Pâques est passé depuis longtemps et le partenaire n'a pas donné signe de vie...
Nia a donc demandé aux petits lutins d'envoyer une compensation à Annette (de son surnom français Petite Anne )  =D

Cette petite souris provient d'une scène appelée All that glitters, mais bien trop grande pour être brodée en si peu de temps..et puis c'est surtout une scène de Noël !
Je n'ai donc pris qu'une petite partie , la souris sur la machine à coudre plus bas, et j'ai fait pour Annette un livret à aiguilles , elle qui m'en avait demandé un pour son anniversaire en août puisqu'elle n'en avait pas =)
Annette est une fan de blanc ! Moins évident pour fabriquer quoique ce soit qu'avec toutes les autres couleurs !
J'ai donc pris ce que je j'avais de plus blanc en tissu , et les pages à l'intérieur sont en feutrine blanche....

Un petit livret qui a fait bien plaisir et qui a vraiment été très rapide à réaliser...
Chaque fois on espère qu'il n'y aura pas besoin de lutins de dernière minute...mais au final il y a toujours quelqu'un pour 'gâcher' le moment de partage...
C'est en tout cas avec grand plaisir que j'ai fait cette petite pièce...pour ma Petite Anne =D
A très vite pour de nouvelles croix...

 Another mouse...yep...I told you I had another one to show you =D
This time it was not for me...
Some weeks ago we had on the MS lovers blog , an Easter exchange. Once again one of our fellows failed in sending her parcel...and Annette didn't receive anything...
We always have the hope that the parcel coming from the other side of the globe is on its way to Annette ... but as we have no news from the sender....Nia asked for pixies and I was part of them =D
I chose this little mouse (it was too late for an Easter design...) who comes from All that glitters, I had in the Best of MS magazine.
The scene was too big to stitch and it is moreover a Xmas scene, so I only picked up the mouse on the sewing machine...
Isn't she perfect for a needle book ? =)

Annette, nicknamed Petite Anne in French, asked me for a needle book for her birthday (in August) as she felt in love with the small one I previously showed.
She got it as her pixie parcel and I know she loved it =)

She is a white lover ! So I chose the whiter fabric I had and the pages inside are in white felt.
I didn't cross stitched the bobbin but tried to fill it as a real bobbin...

It was not related to Easter , and I wished pixies won't be needed for this exchange...anyway it has been a great pleasure to make this 'petite' piece for my 'petite' Anne =D

F comme feutrine

Avant de continuer à dévoiler les cadeaux d'anniversaire reçus la semaine dernière...une toute petite création....
Une grille gratuite trouvée sur le même site que la dernière fois, ici, que je trouvais fraiche, et surtout parfaite pour un petit cadeau d'anniversaire à offrir à une amie brodeuse =D

Je l'ai terminée en tout petit livret à épingles, basé sur les dimensions de celui que m'avait offert Kate en début d'année...
Je ne le trouve pas 'très droit' , en plus la photo est floue... mais il est sympa quand même...espérons qu'il fera plaisir =)

Anniversaire encore donc...et parlons de ce paquet arrivé le jour même de mon anniversaire...
Plutôt d'abord un courrier de la poste mentionnant que le colis avait été détérioré au contrôle douanier mais finalement plus de peur que de mal et heureusement car  il aurait été bien dommage que cette petite merveille soit fichue !!
En provenance directe des Pays Bas, de chez Annette, j'ai reçu ce magnifique photophore

N'est ce pas qu'il est superbe =)
Du violet, des papillons...et un travail incroyable au niveau des détails !!
Quel boulot rien que pour moi ♥

J'ai déjà envoyé un million de merci à Annette, mais une fois encore, mille merci =D
J'adore cette petite beauté que je ne vais pas oser utiliser par peur de la faire cramer !!
C'est peut être difficile de se rendre compte en photo de ce que ça peut représenter, mais ça ne mesure pas plus de 11cm de haut !

Don't know what is your weather like my sweet friends, but here it is definitely not Spring !
Only 4° outside and a cold cold wind =(
Fortunately it is Spring inside...
First with this little stitching I made...
I found this freebie on the same blog as the other day, here, and found it perfect for a friend's birthday, as she is also a stitcher =)

I finished it as a small needle book, same size as the one Kate offered me beginning of the year.
I had in my stash this fabric , I bought it at the craft show in September and obviously...it was made for this chart !
I don't find it very 'straight' ! I made things that were prettier, but I hope it will bring frienship and smile to its recipient anyway =)

As we are speaking about birthdays... let's go on with mine =D
The very day of my birthday I received a parcel from the Netherlands. Or at first a mail from post office, saying that my parcel had been damaged during the customs control (!!!) , that it was flat, that they tried to do their best to re pack it...blah blah blah...and that I was expecting at the post office to have it !
I went to post office with a matchbox, ready to set the office into fire !
Fortunately,  there were no bones broken ! Happily ! Because it would have been a great pity that this little beauty was damaged !

Livret à épingles

La neige a complètement disparu et le froid presque glacial a laissé place à du vent en rafales, de la pluie en trombes...c'est pas mieux =(
On préférait presque les routes glissantes !
Mais il y a comme un air de printemps à la maison ce matin =)
Un cadeau est arrivé ce matin du Canada, plus précisément du  Saskatchewan (imprononçable je sais =D) et encore plus précisément de Kate ... 

Un très joli petit livre à épingles, brodé à mon initiale
ça sent le printemps ce tissu =)
Merci beaucoup Kate, j'ai déjà fait quelques livre à épingles ... mais jamais pour moi ! me voilà fin heureuse d'en avoir un  =)

Et puisque nous parlons de livrets à épingles...
Début janvier sur le groupe Facebook, je participais à un échange pour les vœux

J'avais choisi ce modèle de Joan Elliott , issu du livre Cross Stich Greeting Cards,  et initialement prévu en rouge. Ma partenaire, Pascale, étant une fan de la couleur bleue, j'ai changé les couleurs et voilà ...

Quand je vous disais que je changeais un peu mes modèles cette année =)
J'en ai fait un livret à épingles donc, dans les couleurs bleues ... que j'ai envoyé à Pascale avec des petites bricoles =D

Pascale quant à elle, m'a fait un petit panneau de porte, 'Bienvenue' et m'a envoyé un étui à aiguilles et un super aimant à mettre sur le travail en cours pour ne plus perdre son aiguille
Je n'en avais pas et je peux vous dire que j'en ai un ici qui était bien content de plus avoir à retourner les coussins du canapé tous les 2 jours pour retrouver mon aiguille =D

Je vous laisse sur le WIP de Clair de Lune , qui avance plutôt pas mal, mais j'ai fait un ou deux petits projets à côté parce que le marron...ça lasse.... et je n'ai pas envie de me lasser de cette broderie =)

Snow has totally disappeared here ! Now it's rain , wind , cold but 'wet cold' ... =(
In fact I regret the slippery roads of last week !!
But anyway, my day has an air of Spring =)
A gift arrived this morning from Canada, from (I think one day I'll succeed in saying it... =D) Saskatchewan... from Kate =)

Thank you so much Kate for this over cute needle book that I really love !
I made several needle books for friends but I never did one just for me =D
Now I have one, it's perfect, very beautiful, I love the fabric and the V .... and that's so kind

Speaking about needle book then (Kate's gift arrived at the perfect time for this post =D), beginning of January I had an exchange on my French Facebook group, for the wishes of 2013
I chose this design of Joan Elliott, from Cross Stich Greeting Cards book.
I decided to stitch it in blue as my partner , Pascale , is a colour blue fan =)
Initially it was in red....and (especially for Nia...) Voilà ...

 I made this needle book, with blue and cream fabrics (one I already used for my 'Beatrix Potter box' last year) that I sent to Pascale with some little goodies =D
My exchange was this cute hanging Pascale stitched me to say welcome , a needle case and a needle minder that I absolutely love (I hadn't any) 
Hubby was really happy too with this gift as now, he hasn't to search anymore with me, in the sofa , while we are watching TV the needle I've lost , hehehe =D

You surely saw my WIP of Clair de Lune =)
Don't pay attention to the dots of my new table cloth that are appearing under the linen =)
I made a great progress I find
But I stitched 2 other little things in order to not being fed up with all these brown threads !  
I want this stitching to be perfect, so I must not be fed up with it =D
