Le craft show donc....
A bientôt
xxx
Hi friend
Today I haven't lot's of stitches to show you :-/
Just a picture , a bad one, of the second part of the Mystery SAL...!
I started the 3rd part, and we can see Fairy wings appearing, but you'll have to be patient to see them here, because first I have to finish my ABC Winnie, and I'm a bit late !!
Next time I'll do a better picture =)
The craft show then
It really was more interesting than the previous one where we went !
Upstairs it was only for stitching, and downstairs everything for crafting !
We saw lot's of demonstrations, for example lace making ! Amazing !
There was an exposition of costumes from the cinema and we saw for example the dress worn by Uma Thurman in The Golden Bowl or the one Drew Barrymore wore in Ever After
Great costumes, hand made !
There was also a knitted village, very funny =)
We stayed at the craft show more than 3 hours
It was at the great (the biggest one I've ever seen !) commercial centre Bluewater and I couldn't resist taking into picture a window shop very 'special' and speaking to me =D
So many true old sewing machines !
We finished the day, under the sun, in Tonbridge, and when we arrived there, it was the end of a medieval fair =)
It was the first time I was seeing a Pygmy Ow !!
Isn't she so funny and cute (and small !!) =)
The castle is surrounded by a park where we have been surrounded by ...squirrels !!!
Also the first time I was seeing so many squirrels so close to me !
I wish I had my nuts bag =D
We had a very great day, a perfect transition between our week in Les Châteaux de La Loire and our week in Normandy =)
But those two weeks, I tell you another time...
I bought some supplies at the craft show =)
Fabrics, ribbons, Margaret Sherry stamps, buttons, and my magazines, the one I can't find in France...
Next time I'll show you what I made for Rita's Birthday just before leaving...
I hope you've not fallen asleep =D
Happy stitching or crafting...finally... just be happy =D
xxxx

RépondreSupprimerI'm curious to see more on your SAL :) I don't think I would be able to stitch something that way.. without knowing what was coming! hehehe I will keep following your challenge, maybe one day I will have the courage to do something like that too :) heheheh
Oh! We call that lace method as 'bilros', that's very traditional in some portuguese villages :)
Medieval fairs are fun :D We used to go here but this year we skipped (bad weather during that weekend) Do you remeber reading about those on my blog? I remember I posted owl photos too :) heheeh Owl are pretty and kind of weird too, don't you think? :p a bit mysterious I'd say :)
The knitted space!! How cute!! =)
Wow! So many new magazines!! How fun! What will you start stitching first? :D Tell which one is the cutest to buy, I need to buy some Christmas magazines ;) hehehe
I'm in love with those buttons and Penny black stamps!! Drooling over here!! hahahaha :D
Thank a lot sweetie =)
SupprimerI received yesterday the 4th part of the SAL and I haven't even started the 3rd one !!! :-/
Winnie is taking me all my time, and I have to finish him for the 20th !! (including framing !!)
Cross stitch Crazy is the cutest for the moment for Xmas, the other 2 haven't much Xmas designs yet...
Inside there was a booklet with Joan Elliott Xmas designs that are too cute !!
With Hubby we love medieval fairs too, in one of our previous lives we lived at the medieval time and sure we enjoyed it... =D
Have a great day sweetie
